Commanders' Nate Herbig: Lands with Washington
The Commanders signed Herbig on Friday, Jeremy Fowler of ESPN.com reports.
Herbig has returned to health after a torn rotator cuff forced him to miss all of Pittsburgh's 2024 season, and he now joins Washington as a veteran option at guard. He'll assist the interior of the Commanders' offensive line in keeping Jayden Daniels, the reigning Offensive Rookie of the Year, upright during the upcoming season.

Herbig (shoulder), who spent the entire 2024 season on IR due to a torn rotator cuff, has attained a clean bill of health for the start of free agency, Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston reports.
Herbig missed all of the 2024 season due to a torn rotator cuff sustained in August, but he played a full 17-game campaign (two starts) with the team in 2023. He may need to search for a backup role at guard in free agency.
