Top Greg Dortch News

  • Lions' Greg Dortch: Links up with Lions

Dortch and the Lions have agreed to terms on a one-year contract, Tom Pelissero of NFL Network reports.

Dortch served as a regular pass catcher in the Cardinals offense the last four seasons, averaging 35.5 catches (on 47 targets) for 323.8 yards and 2.5 touchdowns in 15.3 games per campaign during that span. While he'll handle a similar tertiary role in Detroit as he reunites with his offensive coordinator (Drew Petzing) from the past three years, he may make his biggest impact as a returner after reeling off 811 yards on 31 kick returns and 185 yards on 16 punt returns in 12 regular-season contests in 2025.

  • Cardinals' Greg Dortch: No action after Week 13

Dortch (chest) hauled in 29 off 33 targets for 206 yards and three touchdowns, notched seven carries for 15 yards and another TD and turned 31 kick returns into 811 yards and 15 more punt returns for 185 yards in 12 regular-season games in 2025.

Dortch didn't see any game action after Week 13 due to a chest injury, spending the rest of the campaign on injured reserve, but he served as the Cardinals' primary returner and a regular option at wide receiver before that point. Overall, he recorded a new career high in touchdowns with four and also reached 200 receiving yards for a fourth straight season. Dortch is a pending unrestricted free agent, so he should handle return duties, at least, wherever he lands this offseason.

  • Cardinals' Greg Dortch: Placed on injured reserve

The Cardinals placed Dortch (chest) on injured reserve Saturday, Darren Urban of the team's official site reports.

Dortch thus will miss at least the next four games due to the chest injury that didn't allow him to practice at all during Week 14 prep, meaning his next possible chance to play this season is Week 18 at the Rams. With Marvin Harrison (heel) out for Sunday's game against the Rams and all of Dortch, Zay Jones (Achilles) and Simi Fehoko (wrist) on IR, Arizona's available wide receivers will be Michael Wilson, Andre Baccellia and practice-squad elevations Trent Sherfield and Jalen Brooks, while Xavier Weaver (hamstring) is questionable to suit up.

  • Cardinals' Greg Dortch: Ruled out with chest injury

Dortch (chest) and Marvin Harrison (heel) have been ruled out for Sunday's game against the Rams, Josh Weinfuss of ESPN.com reports.

Dortch would've been in line for a significant role in Harrison's absence, which means the Cardinals are instead left with the likes of Andre Baccellia and Xavier Weaver (hamstring) behind Michael Wilson. It helps that TE Trey McBride is a de facto No. 1 receiver, but the lack of depth could make things tricky for QB Jacoby Brissett against a tough Rams defense.

  • Cardinals' Greg Dortch: No practice again Thursday

Dortch (chest) was a non-participant at Thursday's practice, Zach Gershman of the Cardinals' official site reports.

Both Marvin Harrison (heel) and Dortch haven't been able to mix into drills this week, giving them one more chance Friday to do so or else be at risk of being unavailable Sunday against the Rams. Dortch served as the No. 2 WR when Harrison was sidelined Weeks 11 and 12 following an appendectomy, a span in which he hauled in 12 of 15 targets for 119 yards and two touchdowns. If Dortch is able to practice Friday, he could put himself in a position to fill in for Harrison along with Michael Wilson, assuming Harrison is trending toward more missed time.
