Markus Bailey: Suspension lifted
Bailey had his six-game suspension lifted Monday and was placed back on the Cardinals' practice squad.
Bailey was served a six-game suspension in mid-November for violating the NFL's policy on performance-enhancing substances. The 2020 seventh-round pick will return to the practice squad and is eligible to be elevated to the active roster for the Cardinals' regular-season finale against the 49ers on Sunday.

Markus Bailey: Suspended six games
Bailey was suspended six games for violating the NFL's policy on performance-enhancing substances policy Tuesday, Darren Urban of the Cardinals' official site reports.
Bailey will be ineligible to be elevated from Arizona's practice squad until Week 18 as a result of his suspension. The linebacker has appeared in one game in 2024 and failed to record any stats while playing 16 snaps on special teams in Week 7 versus the Chargers.

Cardinals' Markus Bailey: Inks deal with Arizona
Bailey agreed to terms on a one-year contract with the Cardinals on Tuesday, Josh Weinfuss of ESPN.com reports.
After four years in Cincinnati, Bailey will get a fresh start in Arizona. The 27-year-old accumulated 73 tackles (46 solo) across 60 games with the Bengals, primarily as a depth linebacker and special teams contributor. He will now look to impress in OTAs and carve out a role for himself with his new team.

Bengals' Markus Bailey: Trending toward missing Sunday
Bailey (knee) is listed as questionable for Sunday's game versus the Ravens.
After missing practice Friday, Bailey seems to be on the doubtful end of the questionable designation. If he's forced to sit out in Week 2, Joe Bachie could be a candidate to rotate in occasionally at linebacker.

Bengals' Markus Bailey: Pressed into defensive duty
Bailey played 20 defensive snaps in Sunday's win over the Falcons, recording four tackles.
Bailey is primarily a special teams player, having played just six defensive snaps all season prior to Week 7. The 2020 seventh-rounder saw more reps on defense last year when Logan Wilson was out, and Wilson's injury this year is the proximate cause for his return this year.
