Eagles' Jonathan Greenard: Dealt to Philadelphia
The Eagles have traded a third-round pick in the 2026 NFL Draft as well as a 2027 third-round pick to Minnesota in exchange for Greenard (shoulder) and the 244th overall pick of this year's draft, Lindsey Young of the Vikings' official site reports.
Greenard also is signing a four-year extension worth up to $100 million with his new team, per NFL reporter Jordan Schultz. The veteran is coming off a lackluster 2025 campaign in which he recorded just 38 tackles (19 solo), including 3.0 sacks, across 12 regular-season appearances, but he totaled 24.5 sacks across the 2023 and 2024 seasons and will now be a prime bounceback candidate under Philadelphia defensive coordinator Vic Fangio. Greenard is recovering from season-ending shoulder surgery undergone in December.

Vikings' Jonathan Greenard: Placed on injured reserve
The Vikings placed Greenard (shoulder) on injured reserve Wednesday, Craig Peters of the team's official site reports.
Head coach Kevin O'Connell told reporters Wednesday that Greenard would undergo season-ending shoulder surgery, and the latter's placement on injured reserve confirms that he will be sidelined for the rest of the 2025 campaign. The veteran linebacker will shift his focus into progressing enough in his recovery to be fully healthy for the start of the 2026 season.

Vikings' Jonathan Greenard: Done for season
Vikings head coach Kevin O'Connell said Monday that Greenard (shoulder) will undergo season-ending surgery, Kevin Seifert of ESPN reports.
Greenard missed two games due to the shoulder injury he picked up Week 10 and then attempted to play through the issue in three consecutive contests, including Sunday's win over the Cowboys. However, the injury is ultimately severe enough that he'll have to now undergo treatment. Greenard will conclude his second season in Minnesota with 38 tackles, three sacks, three passes defensed and one forced fumble in 12 games.

Vikings' Jonathan Greenard: Dealing with shoulder issue
Greenard (shoulder) is questionable to return to Sunday night's contest against Dallas.
Greenard suffered an apparent shoulder injury in the fourth quarter, and his status for the stretch run of Sunday Night Football is now in doubt. In his absence, Dallas Turner is a candidate to see increased playing time at linebacker versus the Cowboys.

Vikings' Jonathan Greenard: Reduced playing time
Greenard had two total tackles as he played as the backup to starter Dallas Turner in Sunday's win over Washington. Greenard said he's still working through a left shoulder injury, the Minneapolis Star Tribune reports.
Greenard has been battling a sore shoulder since suffering the injury Nov. 9. He played on 29 of the defense's 52 snaps, though that is an increase from last week when he played just 15 snaps (22 percent). He could see more work Week 15 at Dallas as he works his way back to full strength.

Vikings' Jonathan Greenard: Set to suit up
Greenard (shoulder) doesn't have an injury designation for Sunday's game against the Commanders.
Greenard will look to string together consecutive starts after missing Week 11 and Week 12 with a shoulder injury. The linebacker was on a snap count last week, logging just 22 percent of Minnesota's defensive snaps. If the shoulder injury is still a lingering issue this trend could continue, meaning Dallas Turner will likely get a healthy snap share similar to Week 13.
