Mavericks' Max Christie: Lands four triples Friday
Christie notched 15 points (5-13 FG, 4-9 3Pt, 1-1 FT), six rebounds, three assists, two blocks and two steals over 33 minutes during Friday's 119-111 victory over the Nets.
Christie was a menace on both ends of the floor, recording at least four three-pointers for the fourth time this season, while also chipping in a season-high four combined steals and blocks. While this was an encouraging performance, Christie's overall value is typically limited to points and threes. Through 26 games, he is averaging 12.0 points and 2.5 three-pointers in 29.1 minutes per contest, putting him firmly in the streaming category.

Mavericks' Anthony Davis: Dominates both ends in win
Davis produced 24 points (10-21 FG, 0-1 3Pt, 4-5 FT), 14 rebounds, three assists, two blocks and three steals across 33 minutes during Friday's 119-111 victory over Brooklyn.
Davis turned in arguably his best two-way performance of the season, recording his third double-double in the past five games, adding six combined steals and blocks. While the injury concerns are not going anywhere, Davis has once again reminded everyone just what he is capable of when healthy. In five games over the past two weeks, Davis has put up top 20 value, averaging 20.8 points, 12.0 rebounds, 3.8 assists, 1.4 steals and 2.0 blocks.

Mavericks' Ryan Nembhard: Scoreless in victory
Nembhard recorded zero points (0-4 FG, 0-3 3Pt), two rebounds and five assists over 21 minutes during Friday's 119-111 win over the Nets.
Nembhard failed to score despite the win, turning in his worst performance since being handed the starting job. Given what we have seen from Jason Kidd this season, the point guard rotation is likely to be one of the more unpredictable position battles in the entire league. At this point, Nembhard remains a hold in standard leagues, while Brandon Williams is also worth keeping an eye on. However, that could change if and when Kidd opts to mix things up.

Mavericks' D'Angelo Russell: Ruled out with illness
Russell (illness) won't play in Friday's game against the Nets, Noah Weber of TheSmokingCuban.com reports.
The Mavericks downgraded Russell to questionable due to an illness following Friday morning's shootaround, and the veteran guard isn't feeling well enough to give it a go. His next chance to suit up arrives Monday in Utah. Russell was already being phased out of Dallas' rotation a bit of late, though his absence should solidify the playing time of Ryan Nembhard and Brandon Williams at point guard.

Mavericks' Daniel Gafford: Won't play vs. Brooklyn
Gafford (ankle) is out for Friday's game against the Nets, Grant Afseth of DallasHoopsJournal.com reports.
Gafford will miss a third straight game Friday, and he doesn't have a clear timetable for his return. With the big man out, Anthony Davis is expected to start at center, while Dwight Powell and Moussa Cisse will likely see more playing time. The Mavericks are thin in the frontcourt since Dereck Lively (foot) is out for the season.

Mavericks' D'Angelo Russell: Iffy for Friday
Russell (illness) is questionable for Friday's game against the Nets.
Russell was a late addition to the injury report, presumably after waking up under the weather. His role has been trending down in recent weeks, but if he does sit out, Brandon Williams and Ryan Nembhard could have a slightly higher floor in fantasy hoops.

Mavericks' Klay Thompson: Set for Friday return
Thompson (knee) is available for Friday's game against the Nets.
Thompson sat out the second half of a back-to-back Saturday due to knee soreness, but after a few days off, he'll be ready to go. He's coming off a dud in his last appearance, finishing with three points in 18 minutes against the Thunder.

Mavericks' Daniel Gafford: Doubtful for Friday
Gafford (ankle) is doubtful for Friday's game against the Nets.
Gafford appears likely to miss a third straight game Friday. With this news, Anthony Davis is likely to be utilized more at center, with Dwight Powell and Moussa Cisse likely picking up some minutes behind him.

Mavericks' Dereck Lively: Set for season-ending surgery
Lively is slated to undergo season-ending surgery in the coming days to address lingering discomfort in his right foot, Shams Charania of ESPN reports.
Lively sought multiple opinions on his foot since suffering a setback in his last appearance Nov. 21, but doctors determined that surgery was the best course of action. The 21-year-old is expected to make a full recovery ahead of the 2026-27 season. He made just seven appearances during his third NBA season, posting averages of 4.3 points, 5.3 rebounds, 1.9 assists and 1.6 blocks in 16.4 minutes per contest. Daniel Gafford is likely to have a higher minutes floor for the rest of the season with Lively out of the mix, and Moussa Cisse and Dwight Powell could continue to see more opportunities in backup roles.

Mavericks' D'Angelo Russell: Limited to 13 minutes
Russell amassed four points (1-3 FG, 0-1 3Pt, 2-2 FT), one rebound and two assists across 13 minutes during Saturday's 122-109 win over the Rockets.
With Ryan Nembhard excelling at point guard and Brandon Williams playing an expanded role off the bench, Russell is becoming an afterthought in Dallas' rotation. In his last four appearances, Russell is averaging a mere 15.5 minutes per contest.

Mavericks' Anthony Davis: Leads Dallas with 29 points
Davis accumulated 29 points (14-19 FG, 0-1 3Pt, 1-2 FT), eight rebounds, two assists, one block and two steals across 30 minutes during Saturday's 122-109 win over Houston.
Davis was everywhere in this game, and fantasy managers were likely thrilled to see him on the floor for the second leg of this back-to-back set. Davis had a two-point dud against the Thunder on Friday, but he bounced back in a big way to give the Mavericks their third win out of their last four games to improve to 9-16 on the season.

Mavericks' Brandon Williams: Provides lift off bench
Williams produced 20 points (8-12 FG, 1-2 3Pt, 3-5 FT), five assists, two steals and one rebound across 23 minutes during Saturday's 122-109 win over the Rockets.
After scoring in single digits in three straight games, during which he shot just 33.3 percent from the field, Williams bounced back Saturday. The 26-year-old point guard finished as Dallas' second-leading scorer, leading the bench in points, assists and steals. He has come off the bench in six consecutive contests, averaging 10.5 points, 4.7 assists, 1.7 rebounds and 1.0 steals across 20.7 minutes per game over that stretch.

Mavericks' P.J. Washington: Shines defensively in return
Washington (ankle) registered 14 points (6-13 FG, 2-7 3Pt), seven rebounds, five steals, one assist and one block across 36 minutes in Saturday's 122-109 win over the Rockets.
The 9-16 Mavericks turned in one of their best games of the season while cruising to a win over the 15-6 Rockets, and Washington's performance on the defensive end was instrumental in the upset victory. Back in action after missing the previous four games due to a right ankle sprain, Washington faced no restrictions with his minutes and ended up establishing a new season high in steals. Washington was at his more natural power forward spot Saturday while Anthony Davis shifted over to center, but Washington could end up seeing more playing time on the wing if Daniel Gafford (ankle) returns for Dallas' next game Friday versus the Nets.

Mavericks' Max Christie: Not starting vs. Houston
Christie won't start against the Rockets on Saturday, Grant Afseth of DallasHoopsJournal.com reports.
With P.J. Washington (ankle) back in action and Naji Marshall remaining in the starting five, Christie will join the second unit for the first time since Oct. 26. In three outings off the bench so far this season, the 22-year-old swingman has averaged 11.7 points in 27.3 minutes per contest.

Mavericks' P.J. Washington: Available for Saturday
Washington (ankle) is available for Saturday's game against the Rockets.
After sitting out the past four games, Washington was able to shed his questionable tag for this contest. However, it's possible he could face some restrictions in his return to the rotation.
