Sharks' Michael Misa: Set to miss several more weeks
Head coach Ryan Warsofsky said Monday that Misa (lower body) is slated to miss more than two additional weeks, Max Miller of NHL.com reports.
Misa landed on injured reserve Nov. 6, and he was considered week-to-week when the move was made. He doesn't yet have a clear timetable to return, but Warsofsky indicated Monday that Misa is behind Jeff Skinner (lower body), who is set to miss approximately two weeks. As a result, Misa isn't expected to be in the mix to return until at least early December.

Sharks' Michael Misa: Is week-to-week
Misa (lower body) is regarded as being week-to-week, Max Miller of NHL.com reports Friday.
Misa missed Wednesday's 6-1 win over Seattle after sustaining the injury during a team practice. San Jose has been easing the 18-year-old into the NHL, and consequently, he was a healthy scratch in two of San Jose's three games before the injury. Misa has a goal and three points in seven appearances this season.

Sharks' Michael Misa: Placed on injured reserve
Misa (lower body) was placed on injured reserve by the Sharks on Thursday, per the NHL media site.
Misa suffered a lower-body injury during practice this week that forced him to miss Wednesday's matchup against Seattle, and he'll be unavailable for multiple games after landing on injured reserve. It's not yet clear when Misa will be able to return, but Zack Ostapchuk will likely have a chance to see some playing time for the Sharks after he was called up Thursday.

Sharks' Michael Misa: Ruled out versus Jets
Misa (lower body) will not be in the lineup against Winnipeg on Friday, Sheng Peng of San Jose Hockey Now reports.
The full extent of Misa's lower-body injury hasn't been determined yet, as he continues to be evaluated, but he will be on the shelf for his second straight game. With Misa unavailable, Adam Gaudette figures to remain in a top-six role alongside Philipp Kurashev. Considering the Sharks are heading into a back-to-back, it seems unlikely Misa will be cleared in time to face Florida on Saturday, though he hasn't been officially ruled out.

Sharks' Michael Misa: Will not play Wednesday
Misa (lower body) will not play Wednesday versus the Kraken, Max Miller of NHL.com reports.
The 18-year-old sustained his injury during practice and will have to miss at least one game. Misa's next chance to play is the first half of a back-to-back for San Jose on Friday against the Jets. However, the Sharks may not want him to play in consecutive days to avoid a lingering injury situation.

Sharks' Michael Misa: Game-time call Wednesday
Misa sustained an undisclosed injury during practice and is consequently a game-time decision for Wednesday's tilt against Seattle, per Sheng Peng of San Jose Hockey Now.
Misa has a goal and three points in seven appearances this season. After being taken with the No. 2 overall pick in the 2025 NHL Entry Draft, he is a highly regarded prospect. However, he's been eased into things at the pro ranks by the Sharks. The 18-year-old has spent a significant amount of time as a healthy scratch in the 2025-26 campaign.

Sharks' Michael Misa: Gets first NHL goal
Misa scored a goal and added two PIM in Sunday's 6-5 overtime win over the Wild.
Misa has gotten on the scoresheet in each of his last three appearances, earning a goal and two assists. Through five outings overall, he has produced four shots on net, three blocked shots and two hits. Misa has been sheltered from playing in back-to-back sets and is averaging 12:22 of ice time so far in a third-line role with power-play time. The Sharks play four times in six days between Tuesday and Sunday, so Misa will likely suit up in no more than three of those contests.

Sharks' Michael Misa: Earns first NHL assist
Misa notched an assist in Tuesday's 4-3 loss to the Islanders.
Misa appears to be on a development plan, as he's played in just three of the Sharks' first six games. He got on the scoresheet for the first time as an NHLer when he set up an Adam Gaudette tally in the first period. Misa has added three shots on net, two hits, two blocked shots and a minus-2 rating. The No. 2 pick from 2025 is slotting in on the third line for now, but his long-term home is likely to be as a second-line center behind Macklin Celebrini on the depth chart.

Sharks' Michael Misa: Agrees to entry-level deal
Misa signed a three-year, entry-level contract with the Sharks on Wednesday.
Misa was taken with the No. 2 overall pick in the 2025 NHL Draft after recording 62 goals, 134 points and 45 PIM in 65 regular-season appearances with OHL Saginaw during the 2024-25 campaign. While his roster spot on San Jose's Opening Night lineup isn't guaranteed, he's very likely to make the team out of training camp. Don't be surprised if the Sharks test him as the No. 2 center behind Macklin Celebrini. Misa is one of the most promising rookies going into the season.
