Perry scored two goals on four shots, added two hits and went plus-2 in Thursday's 4-3 shootout loss to the Red Wings.
Perry scored at 17:47 of the third period, and he was credited with a deflection on a Quinton Byfield shot 40 seconds later on the game-tying goal. It's unclear if that second goal will stand as Perry's, but there's no denying his effectiveness in a net-front role. If it holds up as his, he has five goals and two assists through six appearances with the Kings, and he's added 12 shots on net and a plus-6 rating. The Kings dressed seven defensemen Thursday, allowing Perry to take a turn on the second line while Trevor Moore (personal) was unavailable.

Kings' Corey Perry: Produces two points
Perry scored a goal on two shots, added an assist and went plus-2 in Tuesday's 4-3 win over the Sharks.
Perry has had a remarkable start to his time with the Kings, picking up three goals and two assists over five appearances since returning from a knee surgery. The 40-year-old winger logged his first multi-point effort of 2025-26, scoring in the first period and setting up Jeff Malott's goal in the second. Perry has added eight shots on net and a plus-4 rating. He's on the fourth line at even strength, but his spot on the second power-play unit gives him a little extra fantasy value if this hot start on offense isn't a mirage.

Perry has scored in back-to-back games. The 40-year-old winger has added five shots on net and a plus-1 rating while filling a fourth-line role. Perry sustained a knee injury prior to the start of training camp and subsequently underwent surgery. The 40-year-old was placed on injured reserve Oct. 6, and he'll make his Kings debut Tuesday after missing the first six games of the season. The veteran winger will likely be eased into action, but he could eventually play a prominent role for a struggling Los Angeles squad that is 1-3-2 to begin the year.

Kings' Corey Perry: Resumes skating
Perry (knee) has been skating for about a week, John Hoven of SiriusXM NHL Network Radio reports Wednesday.
Perry still has hurdles to clear before being ready to play, but he seems to be progressing nicely. He was originally projected to be out 6-8 weeks after undergoing knee surgery Sept. 12. If that timetable holds, the more optimistic end of it would have Perry return around Oct. 25 in Nashville. He'll likely serve in a bottom-six capacity once he's ready.
