Kings' Corey Perry: Shifts to injured reserve Monday
Perry (knee) was put on injured reserve Monday, PuckPedia reports.
Perry sustained a knee injury Sept. 12 while on the ice ahead of training camp, and he underwent surgery the following day. It's unclear how he's progressing in his recovery, but if his original recovery timeline of 6-8 weeks goes as planned, the veteran winger might be able to make his debut with the Kings sometime in late October.

Kings' Corey Perry: Undergoes knee surgery
Perry had knee surgery Friday and will be out of action for 6-8 weeks.
Perry suffered the knee injury while skating Friday and quickly went under the knife. The 40-year-old veteran was expected to start the season on the fourth line after signing with the Kings while seeing second unit power-play time. Perry will miss 3-5 weeks of regular-season action while recovering. He had 19 goals and 11 assists in 81 regular-season games with Edmonton in 2024-25 and was outstanding in the playoffs, garnering 10 goals and four helpers across 22 contests.

Kings' Corey Perry: Sustains injury Friday
Perry (undisclosed) was injured while skating Friday and an update on his status may not be available before the Kings open their training camp, Elliotte Friedman of Sportsnet reports.
There were no specifics regarding the nature and severity of Perry's injury. The 40-year-old winger signed a one-year contract in July and is expected to fill a fourth-line role for the Kings this season.

Perry logged a power-play assist, two shots on goal, two hits and four PIM in Wednesday's 4-3 overtime win over the Panthers in Game 1 of the Stanley Cup Finals.
Perry took both penalties in the first period. He made up for the misdeeds by helping out on Leon Draisaitl's game-winner 19:29 into overtime. It continues a fantastic run for the 40-year-old Perry this postseason. The winger has earned 11 points, 23 shots on net, 28 hits, 12 PIM and a plus-4 rating across 17 playoff outings. He'll likely spend this series on the top line alongside Connor McDavid as a replacement for Zach Hyman (wrist).

Oilers' Corey Perry: Productive on top line with McDavid
Perry scored a goal in Thursday's 6-3 win over the Stars in Game 5.
Perry gave the Oilers a 1-0 lead on the power play at 2:31 of the first period. It was Edmonton's first shot of the game. Perry has also stepped onto the first line due to Zach Hyman's (arm) absence, and that means an even-strength gig with Connor McDavid and Ryan Nugent-Hopkins. It's likely Perry's best offensive opportunity since his Ducks days. Perry has three points (one goal, two assists) in his last two games and 10 points, including seven snipes, in 16 games in the playoffs. Those seven goals are the most by a player age 39 or older (at the start of the playoffs) in a single postseason.
