Flames' Rory Kerins: Three-point outing Sunday
Kerins scored twice and added an assist in AHL Calgary's 5-4 overtime win over Coachella Valley on Sunday.
He got a brief stint in the NHL as a reward for his strong start to the year, but Kerins was bumped back to the minors when the Flames claimed John Beecher. That hasn't discouraged Kerins, who has five points over three games since he returned to the Wranglers. The forward is at seven goals, 19 points, 40 shots on net and a plus-2 rating through 16 AHL appearances. He should be an option for call-ups later in the year if the Flames need to replenish their depth.

Flames' Rory Kerins: Sent down to minors
Kerins was demoted to AHL Calgary on Monday.
Kerins saw action in two games while up with the Flames, failing to register a point while notching one hit, one shot and a minus-1 rating. Sam Morton was recalled in a corresponding move and could replace Kerins in the lineup against Chicago on Tuesday. This likely won't be Kerins' last stint in the NHL this year, but it's unlikely he makes enough of an impact to help fantasy managers.

Flames' Rory Kerins: Recalled from AHL
Kerins was called up from AHL Calgary on Thursday.
The Flames are down to 12 healthy forwards, necessitating the recall of Kerins. The 25-year-old spent the full season in 2024-25 with the Flames, tallying four goals and 21 assists in 81 regular-season appearances. Kerins had five goals and 14 points in 13 AHL games before his recall.

Flames' Rory Kerins: Pots pair for AHL club
Kerins scored twice in AHL Calgary's 5-4 overtime loss to Tucson on Saturday.
Kerins has started the season with four points over three contests for the Wranglers. The Flames are struggling to score at the NHL level, and if Kerins keeps up his hot start, he could be in line for a call-up to replace an unproductive forward. The 23-year-old had 61 points in 63 regular-season AHL outings last year while adding four assists in five NHL appearances.

Flames' Rory Kerins: Waived by Calgary
Kerins was placed on waivers by the Flames on Thursday.
Kerins made his NHL debut last year, but he'll begin the 2025-26 regular season in the minors if he clears waivers. However, he was a strong contributor for AHL Calgary last year, so he should be in the mix to be called up if the Flames need additional forward depth at any point.

Flames' Rory Kerins: Signs one-year contract
Kerins penned a one-year, two-way contract with Calgary on Thursday.
Kerins led the AHL Wranglers in scoring last year during the regular season, potting 33 goals and adding 28 assists across 63 games. He made his NHL debut with the Flames last season, generating four assists in five games. Kerins is a bubble player at this time, but a strong training camp could garner him a job as a third-line winger.

Flames' Rory Kerins: Reassigned to minors
Kerins was sent down to AHL Calgary on Monday.
The decision to demote Kerins could simply be a paper transaction, with the youngster coming back up before Tuesday's game against Washington. Alternatively, the Flames could bring back somebody else after Kerins was a healthy scratch for the previous two contests. When he has played, the 22-year-old winger has been fairly productive, notching four assists in five games.

Flames' Rory Kerins: Two helpers in NHL debut
Kerins picked up two assists in Monday's 5-2 win over Chicago.
Making his NHL debut, the 22-year-old flashed immediate chemistry on a line with Yegor Sharangovich and Jakob Pelletier, as the trio combined for three goals and seven points. Kerins was on fire at AHL Calgary prior to his promotion, erupting for a league-leading 21 goals and 34 points in 34 games, and the 2020 sixth-round pick doesn't seem inclined to slow down now that he's getting a crack at the top level.
