  • Senators' Brady Tkachuk: Sets team record in season opener

Tkachuk had three assists in a 5-4 win over Tampa Bay on Thursday.

Tkachuk became the first Senators player to post three assists in a season opener. He also became the second Ottawa skater and first forward to post three points in multiple season-opening games, as he also accomplished the feat in 2021-22. Erik Karlsson did it twice (2016-17 and 2012-13).

  • Senators' Brady Tkachuk: Skating Thursday

Tkachuk (hip) was on the ice for the first day of training camp Thursday, Sammi Silber of The Hockey News reports.

Tkachuk played through a hip and upper-body injury during the playoffs last season, so it's fairly safe to assume he's back to 100 percent after a full offseason to rest up. The 26-year-old winger came up just one tally shy of reaching the 30-goal mark last year, in part due to a season shortened by injury (72 games played). Barring another stretch on the sideline, Tkachuk should easily get back to being a 30-goal contributor and could push for 35-40.

  • Senators' Brady Tkachuk: Dealing with hip injury

Tkachuk played through a hip injury and an upper-body issue during the first round of the playoffs, Claire Hanna of TSN reports Saturday.

Tkachuk sustained the hip injury during the 4 Nations Face-Off, but he feels he could recover from the problem in a couple of weeks. He also wasn't quite recovered from an upper-body injury he suffered against Pittsburgh on March 30, per Hanna. However, it wouldn't be surprising if Tkachuk was ready for training camp in the fall. He registered 29 goals, 55 points, 296 shots on net, 228 hits and 123 PIM across 72 appearances during the 2024-25 regular season. Tkachuk added four goals and seven points in six playoff outings.

  • Senators' Brady Tkachuk: Ends season on five-game streak

Tkachuk scored a goal in a 4-2 loss to the Maple Leafs on Thursday in Game 6.

Tkachuk got Ottawa on the board at 7:28 of the second period when he tipped Thomas Chabot's point shot past Anthony Stolarz. He finished the postseason on a five-game, seven-point scoring streak (four goals, three assists). Despite the loss, fans in Ottawa chanted his name after the final buzzer. Tkachuk's leadership will deliver impressive results for both the fans and fantasy managers alike over the next few years.

  • Senators' Brady Tkachuk: Four-game, six-point streak

Tkachuk scored a goal and added two assists in a 4-0 win over Toronto on Tuesday in Game 5.

Tkachuk put the puck into an empty net with 47 seconds left to push the score to 4-0. There are a lot of analysts who think that Tkachuk is playing hurt right now, but he's not showing it on the scoresheet. He has three goals and three assists on his current four-game scoring streak. Tkachuk also has 20 shots in five games this postseason. Game 6 will be in Ottawa on Thursday with Toronto leading the series 3-2.

  • Senators' Brady Tkachuk: Second goal in as many games

Tkachuk scored a goal in Thursday's 3-2 overtime loss to the Maple Leafs.

Tkachuk beat Anthony Stolarz with a wrister from the top of the left face-off circle off the rush to tie the game 2-2 in the back half of the third period. The Sens captain has a goal in each of his last two games, and he has 14 shots in three games. Tkachuk is doing everything he can to elevate the Sens, but the powerful Leafs keep stealing the air from their opponents' lungs in every situation.

  • Senators' Brady Tkachuk: Gets first playoff goal in loss

Tkachuk scored a goal in Tuesday's 3-2 overtime loss to the Maple Leafs.

It was his first postseason goal in his second playoff game. Tkachuk cut the lead to 2-1 late in the second period on the power play when his between-the-legs pass across the goal crease deflected in off a Toronto defender. Tkachuk is a fantasy unicorn -- he's fired 10 shots and laid 11 hits in his first two postseason games.

  • Senators' Brady Tkachuk: Deemed fine by coach

Head coach Travis Green said Tkachuk was fine after leaving Thursday's game versus the Hurricanes for precautionary reasons, Bruce Garrioch of Postmedia reports.

As alluded to by the precautionary label, Tkachuk's early exit was nothing to be worried about. Look for the captain to be in a top-six role and on the power play when the Senators open the postseason Sunday versus the Maple Leafs.

  • Senators' Brady Tkachuk: Makes precautionary exit

Tkachuk (undisclosed) left Thursday's game versus the Hurricanes for precautionary reasons, Claire Hanna of TSN reports.

Tkachuk missed the previous eight games due to an upper-body injury. He logged three shots on goal, a hit and a minus-2 rating in 10:37 of ice time Thursday. It's possible the Senators just wanted to get him some game action before the playoffs. His status should be updated prior to Game 1 versus the Maple Leafs on Sunday.

  • Senators' Brady Tkachuk: Ready to rock

Tkachuk (upper body) will return to the lineup versus Carolina on Thursday, per TSN 1200 Ottawa.

Tkachuk's return is huge for the Senators, who will meet the Maple Leafs in the opening round of the Stanley Cup Playoffs starting Sunday. Tkachuk has 29 goals, 26 assists, 123 PIM, 293 shots on goal and 227 hits over 71 games this season. He will return to the top line, alongside Tim Stutzle and Claude Giroux, and should also see time with the top power-play unit.
