Ducks' Beckett Sennecke: One of each in wild win
Sennecke scored a goal on five shots, dished an assist, logged two hits and went minus-2 in Saturday's 7-6 overtime win over the Sharks.
So far, so good for Sennecke -- he's at two goals and an assist over his first two NHL games. He hasn't looked out of place as a top-six winger, and the start of his audition for a full-time gig with the Ducks is going well. He's also chipped in five hits and eight shots. Fantasy managers could do worse in terms of a speculative addition. Sennecke's performance could be integral in the Ducks' improvement in 2025-26 if his offensive production continues at a steady pace.

Ducks' Beckett Sennecke: Scores in NHL debut
Sennecke scored a goal on three shots and added three hits in Thursday's 3-1 loss to the Kraken.
Sennecke wasted little time in getting his name on an NHL scoresheet, doing so with a goal at 4:11 of the first period. While this was the Ducks' lone tally of the contest, the 19-year-old showed promise while adding some physicality over 17:24 of ice time. Sennecke is one of the top offensive prospects in the league, but given his age, he'll need to play well early in the season to avoid a trip back to junior hockey -- not that he has anything left to prove after an 86-point effort over 56 regular-season games with OHL Oshawa last year. For now, he's playing in a top-six role with power-play time.

Ducks' Beckett Sennecke: Spearheading Generals in scoring
Sennecke has produced 30 goals and 41 helpers over 42 games with OHL Oshawa this season.
Sennecke has already surpassed his point total from last season (68) in 21 fewer games in 2024-25. His numbers have improved in each of his first three OHL campaigns, and he's just one assist away from setting new highs across the board at the junior level. The right-shot winger was selected third overall by Anaheim in the 2024 NHL Entry Draft. Sennecke figures to be an integral aspect of the Ducks' youth movement in the coming years.

Ducks' Beckett Sennecke: Assigned to junior team
Sennecke was assigned to OHL Oshawa on Friday.
Sennecke recovered from a foot fracture in time to see some preseason action with the Ducks this week, but he'll still head back to his junior team before the NHL regular season gets underway. He made 63 appearances for Oshawa last year and tallied 27 goals and 68 points.

Sennecke (foot) is no longer using a walking boot and may be able to return in 2-4 weeks, per Derek Lee of The Hockey News on Thursday.
Lee reports Sennecke may be an option in the Ducks' later preseason games. The Ducks play Utah on Oct. 2 and face the Sharks on Oct. 4 for their last two preseason contests. While it's encouraging Sennecke is healing faster than the initial 6-8 week timeline, he's still unlikely to be an NHL option in 2024-25.

Sennecke suffered a foot fracture during his offseason training and will be sidelined 6-8 weeks.
Sennecke was taken third overall in the 2024 NHL Entry Draft. He was going to face an uphill battle for an NHL roster spot in training camp prior to the injury, but this news guarantees he'll begin the year in the junior ranks. Sennecke's timeline puts his expected return date in the second half of October, and there's a chance he'll begin 2024-25 on the season-opening injured reserve list.
