Head coach Jim Montgomery said Friday that Snuggerud (undisclosed) is fine after he went into the boards during practice Wednesday, Lou Korac of NHL.com reports.
Snuggerud is expected to start the season on the top line alongside Robert Thomas and Pavel Buchnevich. The 21-year-old had a goal and three assists in seven NHL regular-season games after leaving the University of Minnesota following his junior year. Snuggerud had 24 goals and 27 assists in 40 NCAA games in 2024-25 and should be in consideration for the Calder Trophy this season.

Snuggerud played in 14 regular-season and playoff games for the Blues last year in which he garnered three goals, five assists and 22 shots while averaging 16:16 of ice time. Barring a lengthy injury absence, the 21-year-old winger should start the 2025-26 campaign filling a top-six role for the Blues and should be capable of challenging for the 30-goal threshold.

Snuggerud's first NHL point was the primary assist on a Jake Neighbours tally in the third period. This was Snuggerud's second game since he signed with the Blues following his junior year at the University of Minnesota.
