Ducks' Ryan Poehling: Unavailable Thursday
Poehling (upper body) will miss Thursday's game in Detroit, per Derek Lee of The Hockey News.
Poehling has a goal and six points in 16 appearances with Anaheim in 2025-26. Mikael Granlund (lower body) and Ryan Strome (upper body) are set to rejoin the lineup Thursday after missing time due to their respective injuries, so Poehling's exit is corresponding with those returns. In addition to Poehling's absence, Ross Johnston might be a healthy scratch versus the Red Wings after playing in Anaheim's past 11 games.

Ducks' Ryan Poehling: Three-game, three-point streak
Poehling scored a goal in a 4-3 loss to Tampa Bay on Saturday.
It was his first goal of the season. Poehling finished a 2-on-1 in the third with a tap-in to cut Anaheim's deficit to 3-2. The native of Lakeville, Minnesota, is on a modest three-game, three-point streak right now. Still, Poehling's fantasy value has its limits as a fourth-line pivot.

Ducks' Ryan Poehling: Nabs helper in win
Poehling logged an assist and went plus-2 in Tuesday's 5-2 win over the Predators.
This was Poehling's first point over six games to begin his tenure with the Ducks. The 26-year-old has slotted in as a defensive center on the fourth line, and his 12:00 of ice time Tuesday was a season high. Poehling has supplied two shots on net, two blocked shots, one hit, two PIM and an even plus-minus rating so far. Without a bump in minutes, he's unlikely to come close to the pace that saw him generate 31 points over 68 appearances with the Flyers in 2024-25.

Ducks' Ryan Poehling: Moved to Orange County
Anaheim acquired Poehling, the No. 45 pick in the 2025 NHL Entry Draft and a 2026 fourth-round selection from Philadelphia on Monday in exchange for Trevor Zegras, per Chris Johnston of The Athletic.
Poehling produced 12 goals, 31 points, 71 shots on net and 79 blocked shots over 68 regular-season appearances with the Flyers in 2024-25. The 26-year-old forward will probably occupy a bottom-six role as a member of the Ducks in the 2025-26 campaign.

Flyers' Ryan Poehling: Draws assist in loss
Poehling produced an assist and blocked two shots in Thursday's 5-4 loss to the Sabres.
Poehling's last month-plus of the campaign was the best he's ever played at the NHL level. He had eight goals, eight assists and 24 shots over the last 16 contests in 2024-25, giving him a total of 31 points (12 goals, 19 assists) in 68 appearances for the season. He added 71 shots on net, 26 hits, 79 blocked shots and a minus-4 rating. Poehling is primarily a bottom-six center who fills a defensive role, so fantasy managers shouldn't be banking on him carrying this success over into 2025-26, though that will be a contract year for him.

Flyers' Ryan Poehling: Adds two helpers in win
Poehling logged two assists and two shots on goal in Wednesday's 8-5 win over the Rangers.
Poehling was injured in Monday's practice, but it was a minor issue that didn't cost him a game. Instead, he stayed hot in a middle-six role -- the center has seven goals and five assists over his last nine contests. Poehling is definitely worth a look to close out the season in fantasy given his momentum. His two-point effort Wednesday gave him a career-high 29 points with 69 shots on net, 73 blocked shots and a minus-1 rating across 64 outings this season.

Flyers' Ryan Poehling: Looks good to go
Poehling (undisclosed) is expected to be in the lineup versus the Rangers on Wednesday.
Poehling left Monday's practice with an injury, but interim head coach Brad Shaw said the 12 forwards on the roster will play Wednesday. That means Poehling is clear to suit up after Rodrigo Abols was sent down Wednesday and Olle Lycksell was waived Monday. Poehling will likely feature in a middle-six role and see power-play time.

Flyers' Ryan Poehling: Leaves Monday's practice
Poehling (undisclosed) left Monday's practice early, and it's unclear if he will be available to play against the Rangers on Wednesday, Jordan Hall of NBC Sports Philadelphia reports.
Poehling has been productive recently, earning eight goals and 12 points in his last 11 outings. He has 12 tallies, 15 helpers, 67 shots on net and 73 hits through 63 appearances this season. If Poehling and Sean Couturier (undisclosed) are unavailable for Wednesday's game, Rodrigo Abols and Olle Lycksell will probably return to the lineup after being a healthy scratches in Saturday's 3-2 loss to Montreal.

Flyers' Ryan Poehling: Keeps streak alive in costly loss
Poehling had an even-strength goal and a power-play assist in Saturday's 3-2 loss to the Canadiens.
Poehling found the back of the net for a third straight game and has notched six points over that stretch. However, his strong showing Saturday wasn't enough, as the loss eliminated the Flyers from playoff contention. Poehling still has something to play for in Philadelphia's final five games, as he needs one point to match his career high of 28 points established last season.

Flyers' Ryan Poehling: Lights lamp in win
Poehling scored a goal on two shots and blocked four shots in Monday's 2-1 win over the Predators.
Poehling closed out March on an impressive run, earning seven goals and three assists over the last 10 games of the month. That's quite a bit for a forward best known for his defensive play, especially with four of those points coming over the last two contests. For the season, he's at 11 goals, 25 points, 65 shots on net, 71 blocked shots and a minus-2 rating through 62 appearances. He needs one more goal and four more points to set career highs in both categories.

Flyers' Ryan Poehling: Three points including GWG
Poehling scored two power-play goals, one the game-winner, and added an even-strength assist in Saturday's 7-4 victory over the Sabres.
After having a hand in a Jakob Pelletier tally in the first period, Poehling helped put the game away in the third by producing his first multi-goal performance of the season. The power-play tallies were his first of the season as well, and they came in just 59 seconds of ice time with the man advantage. Poehling has stepped into a more prominent role of late and taken advantage, recording six goals and nine points over the last nine games.

Flyers' Ryan Poehling: Four points in last four games
Poehling picked up a goal Tuesday in a 7-2 loss to Toronto.
Poehling opened the scoring in the first period when he one-timed a pass over Anthony Stolarz's glove from above the left hashmarks. The forward has three goals and one assist in his last four games. It's a nice little late-season bump, but it's not really enough to make Poehling fantasy relevant.

Flyers' Ryan Poehling: Scores again Saturday
Poehling scored a goal on two shots and blocked three shots in Saturday's 3-2 overtime loss to the Stars.
Poehling has three goals and five points over his last five outings. He's seen a larger role since the Flyers dealt Scott Laughton to the Maple Leafs at the trade deadline, and it looks like that's benefited Poehling's offense. For the season, the 26-year-old center has seven goals, 20 points, 57 shots on net, 64 blocked shots and a minus-1 rating through 57 appearances. He continues to operate in a third-line role.
