Golden Knights' Carl Lindbom: Beaten three times
Lindbom stopped 22 of 25 shots in Friday's 4-2 loss to the Avalanche. The fourth goal was an empty-netter in the third period.
Lindbom stopped 26 of 28 shots in his NHL debut against the Lightning on Oct. 26, and while he was unable to earn the win Friday, he's performed fairly well against two formidable opponents. Through two starts, Lindbom has posted a .906 save percentage. It remains to be seen when he'll get another start, though the Golden Knights' next game will come Tuesday at home against the Red Wings.

Golden Knights' Carl Lindbom: Starting against Colorado
Lindbom will defend the home crease against the Avalanche on Friday, Jesse Granger of The Athletic reports.
Lindbom performed relatively well in his NHL debut in Tampa on Sunday, turning aside 26 of 28 shots (.929 save percentage) in the 2-1 overtime loss. He'll draw the Nevada Day start for Vegas on Friday but will face a tough test in his first action at T-Mobile Arena, as the Avalanche are tied for second in the NHL with 3.73 goals per game to begin the season.

Golden Knights' Carl Lindbom: Valiant effort in NHL debut
Lindbom stopped 26 shots on 28 attempts on net in Sunday's 2-1 overtime loss to the Lightning.
Despite a strong outing between the pipes from Lindbom, the Golden Knights fell flat on offense for the second straight night, as they were held to one goal over their weekend slate. The 22-year-old netminder kept Tampa Bay off the scoresheet for roughly one hour, as he allowed a goal five minutes into regulation and wouldn't be beaten again until there were 30 seconds left in overtime. His performance should warrant him more opportunities at the NHL level while Vegas' starting goaltender Adin Hill is considered week-to-week with a lower-body injury. If Lindbom can post another solid outing to prove his NHL debut wasn't a fluke, he could be a solid option for spot starts in fantasy until Hill returns.

Golden Knights' Carl Lindbom: Slated starter for Sunday
Lindbom is expected to start on the road against Tampa Bay on Sunday, per Jesse Granger of The Athletic on Saturday.
Adin Hill (lower body) is unavailable, and Akira Schmid got the road start against Florida on Saturday, so it makes sense that Lindbom is on track to make his first NHL start Sunday. The 22-year-old Lindbom has a 1.00 GAA and a .958 save percentage in two appearances with AHL Henderson. He also posted a 2.65 GAA and a .912 save percentage in 36 regular-season outings with Henderson in 2024-25.

Golden Knights' Carl Lindbom: Summoned Wednesday
Lindbom was recalled from AHL Henderson on Wednesday.
Lindbom has a 1.00 GAA and a .958 save percentage in two appearances with Henderson this year. He will join the big club after Adin Hill sustained a lower-body injury in Monday's win over Carolina. Vegas plays in Florida on Saturday and visits Tampa Bay on Sunday, which could give Lindbom a chance to make his NHL debut if Hill isn't available. Akira Schmid would likely get the other start.

Golden Knights' Carl Lindbom: Shuts out AHL Ontario
Lindbom posted an 18-save shutout in AHL Henderson's 2-0 win over Ontario on Friday.
The Golden Knights had an injury scare with Adin Hill earlier in the week, but they ultimately didn't need to make a move. That allowed Lindbom to stay with the minor-league club, and he delivered his first shutout of the 2025-26 campaign for Henderson. The 22-year-old has allowed two goals on 48 shots over his two starts this season. Lindbom will likely get at least half of the Silver Knights' starts for a bit, but he could lose some playing time later on once Carter Hart is allowed to play in minor-league games to get up to speed.

Lindbom is in line for his second appearance of the preseason. He allowed a goal on 11 shots in his previous outing. Regardless of his performance, he is likely to begin the year with AHL Henderson, as Akira Schmid looks set to be the backup to Adin Hill at the NHL level.
