Top Zack Bolduc News

  • Canadiens' Zachary Bolduc: Logs helper Thursday

Bolduc notched an assist and five hits in Thursday's 8-4 loss to the Capitals.

The Canadiens' offense has been in a lull lately, and that's prompted a shake-up in the lines. Bolduc landed alongside Nick Suzuki and Cole Caufield, and his helper was on Suzuki's second-period tally. This ended a nine-game point drought for Bolduc, who is now at seven points, 28 shots on net, 39 hits and a minus-4 rating over 20 appearances. He had 36 points in 72 regular-season outings for the Blues a year ago, so Bolduc is certainly capable of stronger offense and should chip in steady hit totals as well.

  • Canadiens' Zachary Bolduc: Power-play tally in win

Bolduc scored a power-play goal on two shots and added two PIM in Wednesday's 2-1 overtime win over the Flames.

Bolduc's goal opened the scoring late in the first period. He started the season with four points over three games, but he slumped with no points in four outings going into Wednesday's contest. The 22-year-old's offensive struggles dropped him to the fourth line at even strength, but he remains a valuable piece of the power play. Bolduc has four goals, one helper, 19 shots on net, 12 hits, four PIM and a minus-1 rating across eight appearances.

  • Canadiens' Zachary Bolduc: Goal streak at three games

Bolduc scored a goal and added an assist, both on the power play, in Saturday's 3-2 win over Chicago.

The 22-year-old continued a sizzling start to his tenure with the Habs, banging home a rebound early in the second period for his third goal of the season. Bolduc has found the back of the net in three straight games with four points in total, and he appears to have gotten comfortable very quickly on the top power-play unit. Bolduc won't maintain 30 percent shooting of course, but he won't need that kind of efficiency to deliver career-best numbers given the increased opportunities he's seeing with Montreal.

  • Canadiens' Zachary Bolduc: Scores again Thursday

Bolduc scored a goal on four shots and went plus-2 in Thursday's 5-1 win over the Red Wings.

That's two goals in two games for Bolduc to start the season. A hot start should help him solidify his place on the second line, and he's also seeing ample power-play time on the first unit so far. He had 19 goals and 36 points in 72 regular-season games with the Blues last year, but Bolduc is poised for a true breakout campaign if he can keep his momentum up throughout 2025-26.

  • Canadiens' Zachary Bolduc: Finds back of net in Montreal debut

Bolduc scored his first goal of the season in Wednesday's 5-2 loss to the Maple Leafs.

After coming over from the Blues in a trade this offseason, Bolduc wasted little time making his mark with the Canadiens, giving his new team a 2-1 lead early in the second period as he banged home the rebound on a Brendan Gallagher shot. Bolduc skated on the top power-play unit in the Habs' opener alongside the likes of Nick Suzuki, Cole Caufield and Lane Hutson, and if he can hang onto that assignment, the 22-year-old will be in prime position to top the 19 goals and 36 points he amassed over 72 regular-season games with St. Louis in 2024-25.

Bolduc (lower body) is set to make his Canadiens debut Wednesday against Toronto.

Bolduc missed Saturday's exhibition game against Ottawa but appears to be available for Opening Night. The 22-year-old had 19 goals and 36 points in 72 regular-season outings with the Blues last year. Montreal acquired him over the summer in exchange for Logan Mailloux. Bolduc is projected to open the season on a line with Kirby Dach and Brendan Gallagher.

  • Canadiens' Zachary Bolduc: Not playing Saturday

Bolduc (lower body) is not in the lineup Saturday versus Ottawa, Patrick Friolet of RDS.ca reports.

Bolduc also sat out Friday's practice and remains day-to-day ahead of Montreal's regular-season opener against Toronto on Wednesday. He registered 19 goals and 17 assists across 72 regular-season appearances with St. Louis in 2024-25. After being acquired by the Canadiens in the offseason, he could occupy a top-six role once he's healthy.

  • Canadiens' Zachary Bolduc: Not practicing Friday

Bolduc is not at practice Friday and is considered day-to-day with a lower-body injury.

The 21-year-old Bolduc was acquired by Montreal from St. Louis on July 1 in exchange for Logan Mailloux. Bolduc had a solid rookie campaign in 2024-25, scoring 19 goals and adding 17 assists across 72 regular-season appearances. The 17th selection in the 2021 NHL Entry Draft, Bolduc is slated to start the season on the second line, alongside Kirby Dach and Patrik Laine, once he returns to full health.

  • Canadiens' Zachary Bolduc: Flipped in trade

Bolduc was acquired by the Habs from the Blues on Tuesday in a swap for Logan Mailloux.

Bolduc is coming off a solid rookie campaign with St. Louis in which he notched 19 goals and 17 helpers in 72 regular-season outings, including 12 power-play points. Barring a significant sophomore slump, the 22-year-old Quebec native should be capable of topping both those marks this coming season and should be a top-half fantasy target.

  • Blues' Zachary Bolduc: Pockets helper in Game 1 loss

Bolduc notched an assist, three hits and two PIM in Saturday's 5-3 loss to the Jets in Game 1.

Bolduc has four points over his last three games. The 22-year-old emerged as a reliable depth scorer late in the regular season, finishing the campaign with 19 goals, 36 points, 120 shots on net, 108 hits and a plus-20 rating over 72 appearances. Bolduc is on the third line to open the playoffs, but he should also remain a factor on the power play, which could help boost his offense if the Blues can keep pace with the Jets' strong offense.

Bolduc recorded a goal and an assist, both on the power play, in Tuesday's 6-1 win over Utah.

Bolduc was one of several St. Louis players who posted multi-point performances in this regular-season finale, and the win allowed the Blues to clinch a spot in the Stanley Cup Playoffs. The 22-year-old playmaker recorded five points over his last five regular-season outings and finishes the campaign with 36 points (19 goals, 17 assists) across 72 appearances in his first full year in the league.

Bolduc notched an assist, three shots on goal and two hits in Saturday's 4-3 shootout loss to the Kraken.

Bolduc set up a Nick Leddy tally in the third period. While his offense has slowed down a bit, Bolduc is still making a decent impact from the third line. He has eight points, 29 shots, 25 hits and 17 PIM over his last 12 outings, and he's now at 34 points, 116 shots on net, 108 hits and a plus-20 rating across 71 appearances this season.

  • Blues' Zachary Bolduc: Tallies twice on power play

Bolduc scored a pair of power-play goals on six shots in Saturday's 5-4 win over the Avalanche.

Bolduc has been steady lately, but this was his first multi-point effort since a two-goal game versus the Kraken on Feb. 25. The 22-year-old has 12 tallies and three assists over his last 20 contests, with seven of his 15 points in that span coming on the power play. He remains on the third line in the absence of Dylan Holloway (lower body), as Jimmy Snuggerud is getting a look in the top six instead, but Bolduc's power-play role will keep him on the radar for fantasy. Overall, Bolduc has had a breakout year with 18 goals, 33 points, 113 shots on net, 103 hits, 35 blocked shots, 35 PIM and a plus-20 rating across 68 appearances.

  • Blues' Zachary Bolduc: Scores power-play marker

Bolduc scored a power-play goal on five shots and added two hits in Saturday's 2-1 win over the Avalanche.

Bolduc dropped back to the third line with the return of Pavel Buchnevich from a four-game absence. Even with the smaller role, Bolduc was able to make an impact, as he stayed on the first power-play unit and cashed in at 10:57 of the first period. The 22-year-old is on the cusp of being a major power forward in fantasy. He's at 31 points over 65 outings this season, but he's earned 16 of them over 23 contests since the start of February. Bolduc has added 104 shots on net, 97 hits, 33 PIM and a plus-19 rating, and it's his growth this season that has helped contribute to the Blues' ability to overcome an early deficit to get into the playoff picture.

Bolduc scored a power-play goal on six shots and recorded four hits and a plus-1 rating in Tuesday's 6-1 win over the Canadiens.

Bolduc has been impressive for the Blues in recent weeks and extended his current point streak to four games with his goal at the 18:02 mark of the third period. The 22-year-old center has cracked the scoresheet in 10 of his 13 appearances in March, tallying seven goals and three helpers over that stretch, and he's been playing a big role in the Blues' current seven-game winning streak.

  • Blues' Zachary Bolduc: Scores goal in elevated role

Bolduc scored a goal in Saturday's 4-1 win over the Blackhawks.

Bolduc got the call to move up to the top line when Pavel Buchnevich (illness) was scratched Saturday. The 22-year-old Bolduc is worthy of an increased role after entering Saturday's contest with five goals and two assists over his previous 10 games. For the season, he's up to 14 goals, 28 points, 90 shots on net, a plus-15 rating and 88 hits across 61 appearances. His steady scoring lately makes him an option for fantasy managers seeking a boost in points and hits.

Bolduc tallied a goal, had two shots on net and dished out five hits in Thursday's 4-3 overtime win over the Canucks.

Bolduc opened Thursday's scoring late in the second period off feeds from linemates Oskar Sundqvist and Mathieu Joseph. The 22-year-old Bolduc now has 13 goals, 27 points and 88 hits in 60 appearances this season. The young forward has been hot recently with seven goals and nine points in his last 12 games. Bolduc is just three points away from eclipsing the 30-point mark and could push for around 35 points if he maintains this consistency. His offensive capabilities and added value with hits make Bolduc a decent play in deeper leagues with the fantasy playoffs upon us.

Bolduc has been on a roll of late and extended his point streak to three contests by tallying his 12th goal of the campaign. The second-year center is making the most of his bigger role this season, and he's notched a career-high 25 points (12 goals, 13 helpers) across 56 games in 2024-25. That said, the spike in form in recent weeks has been noticeable. Bolduc has recorded 10 of his 25 points over his last 12 appearances, notching seven goals and three assists in that period.

  • Blues' Zachary Bolduc: Plucks apple Saturday

Bolduc notched an assist, two shots on goal and three hits in Saturday's 2-1 overtime loss to the Kings.

Bolduc has gotten on the scoresheet in five of his last seven games (five goals, one assist). This was his first helper since Feb. 8 versus the Blackhawks, as he's shown up more with a finishing touch than a playmaking style recently. For the season, the 22-year-old forward is up to 24 points, 80 shots on net, 77 hits and a plus-15 rating through 55 appearances. Bolduc isn't a household name in fantasy just yet, but he's been impressive in a bottom-six role this season and should continue on an upward trajectory in the years to come.
