Senators' Olle Lycksell: First goal a game-winner
Lycksell scored a goal on three shots with a plus-1 rating in Thursday's 2-1 win over the Flyers.
The former Flyer got some sweet revenge when he potted his first goal of the season early in the second period, converting a slick between-the-legs feed from Claude Giroux to give Ottawa a 2-1 lead that held up. Lycksell has been a consistently dangerous scorer in the minors, including 19 goals and 44 points in 43 contests last season for AHL Lehigh Valley, but he hasn't been able to replicate that production at the top level yet. Through 49 career NHL regular-season games dating back to 2022-23, Lycksell has just two goals and 12 points, and bouncing between the Senators' fourth line and the press box isn't going to give him many chances to show he has more to offer.

Senators' Olle Lycksell: Brought up from minors
Lycksell was elevated from AHL Belleville on Tuesday.
Lycksell has played in two games for the Senators this season in which he generated zero points, two blocks and one shot while averaging 10:09 of ice time. Even with his promotion, Lycksell is far from guaranteed to feature in the lineup versus the Oilers on Tuesday.

Senators' Olle Lycksell: Sent to AHL
Lycksell was reassigned to AHL Belleville on Friday.
Lycksell has no points, one shot, one hit and two blocks across two appearances with Ottawa this year. He was also a healthy scratch in three of the Senators' opening five games before being sent to the minors. This move isn't surprising given Lycksell's limited use, but he might get another shot with the big club later in the season.

Senators' Olle Lycksell: Makes team out of training camp
Lycksell is with the Senators going into the team's season opener against Tampa Bay on Thursday, TSN 1200 Ottawa reports Wednesday.
Although Lycksell made Ottawa's roster out of training camp, he served as an extra during Wednesday's practice, so he'll probably be a healthy scratch Thursday. The 26-year-old had five assists in 19 outings with Philadelphia as well as 19 goals and 44 points in 43 appearances with AHL Lehigh Valley during the 2024-25 regular season.

Senators' Olle Lycksell: Lands on waivers for AHL assignment
Lycksell was placed on waivers by the Senators for the purpose of assignment to AHL Belleville, the team announced Sunday.
Lycksell inked a one-year, two-way contract with Ottawa over the summer after spending the previous three campaigns as part of the Flyers' organization. The 26-year-old had 19 goals and 44 points across 43 outings with Lehigh Valley as well as five assists in 19 appearances with Philadelphia during the 2024-25 regular season. Although Lycksell is set to begin the upcoming campaign in the minors, he will likely be one of Ottawa's top call-up options.

Senators' Olle Lycksell: Agrees to one-year deal
Lycksell penned a one-year, two-way contract with Ottawa on Tuesday, Darren Dreger of TSN reports.
Lycksell saw action in just 19 games with the Flyers last season in which he garnered five assists, nine hits and 10 shots while averaging 11:53 of ice time. Despite a lack of NHL opportunities, the 2017 sixth-round pick excelled in the minors with 44 points in 43 regular-season games for AHL Lehigh Valley. If he can put together a strong training camp performance, Lycksell could force his way into a bottom-six role with the Sens.

Flyers' Olle Lycksell: Lands on waivers
Lycksell was designated for waivers by the Flyers on Monday, Elliotte Friedman of Sportsnet reports.
Lycksell should be in contention for a demotion to AHL Lehigh Valley assuming he passes through waivers unclaimed. In his 19 appearances for Philadelphia this year, the 25-year-old Swede has yet to find the back of the net while registering five assists, nine hits and 10 shots.

Flyers' Olle Lycksell: Provides assist Thursday
Lycksell notched an assist in Thursday's 6-4 win over the Canadiens.
Lycksell wasn't able to keep up momentum from earlier in March when he had three assists over a two-game stretch. He followed it up with six consecutive scoreless outings before setting up a Nicolas Deslauriers tally in the first period Thursday. Lycksell is now at four helpers, nine shots on net, seven hits and a minus-3 rating over 17 NHL appearances this season. He's in a fourth-line role, so fantasy managers likely won't need to turn to him for help this season.

Flyers' Olle Lycksell: Three points in last two games
Lycksell had two assists Thursday in a 4-3 shootout win over Tampa Bay.
Lycksell really benefited from playing with Bobby Brink, who had a three-point game after being shifted to play with him and Ryan Poehling. He has three assists in his last two games, but his fantasy value remains very limited. Lycksell is a decent role player in the bottom six, but his game is relatively quiet. He doesn't deliver much offense, and he also doesn't offer much by way of secondary categories (four blocks, three hits and five shots; nine games).

Flyers' Olle Lycksell: First point of season
Lycksell notched an assist in Tuesday's 5-2 loss to the Senators.
The helper was Lycksell's first point of the campaign, and it came on a Jamie Drysdale tally in the second period. The 25-year-old Lycksell has a chance to secure his place in the lineup following the Flyers' trades to send away Scott Laughton and Andrei Kuzmenko at last week's deadline. Even if he sticks on a regular basis, Lycksell is in a bottom-six role, so his fantasy upside is minimal.

Flyers' Olle Lycksell: Summoned from minors
Lycksell was called up by Philadelphia on Friday.
Lycksell has no points in six appearances with the Flyers in 2024-25. He also has 17 goals and 41 points in 40 outings with AHL Lehigh Valley. Philadelphia dealt Scott Laughton to Toronto and Andrei Kuzmenko to Los Angeles on Friday, so Lycksell might spend the rest of the campaign in the NHL.

Flyers' Olle Lycksell: Sent down Wednesday
Lycksell was reassigned to AHL Lehigh Valley on Wednesday.
Lycksell played in five of the last six contests but failed to record a point. The 25-year-old has seen time on the Flyers' fourth line, but he'll have to wait for his next opportunity. He has three shots on goal, two hits and three blocked shots over six appearances. Lycksell's demotion helped open a roster spot for Anthony Richard to be called up.

Flyers' Olle Lycksell: Recalled Friday
Lycksell was promoted from AHL Lehigh Valley on Friday.
Lycksell made his season debut for the Flyers on Monday before he was returned to the AHL for the holiday break. Lycksell had three shots on goal in 10:58 of action versus Columbus. He led the Phantoms in scoring before his recall with 24 points, including nine goals. Look for Lycksell to have a middle-six role when he is in the Flyers lineup.

Flyers' Olle Lycksell: Returns to AHL
Lycksell was assigned to AHL Lehigh Valley on Sunday.
Lycksell played in Saturday's 5-4 overtime win over Columbus, posting three shots on goal in 10:58 of ice time. He has nine goals and 24 points in 25 AHL appearances this season. Lycksell's demotion to the minors could bode well for the availability of Sean Couturier (personal) for Monday's game versus Pittsburgh.

Flyers' Olle Lycksell: Called up Saturday
Lycksell was recalled from AHL Lehigh Valley on Saturday, Jordan Hall of NBC Sports Philadelphia reports.
Lycksell played 18 games with the Flyers last season, logging one goal and five points. He got off to a nice start in the AHL this year, recording nine goals and 24 points in 25 contests. Lycksell figures to fill a depth role ahead of Saturday's matchup with Columbus.

Flyers' Olle Lycksell: Waived Friday
Lycksell was waived by the Flyers on Friday, according to Elliotte Friedman of Sportsnet.
Lycksell recorded a goal and five points in 18 outings with Philadelphia in 2023-24. He also scored 19 goals and 39 points across 38 regular-season contests with AHL Lehigh Valley. Should he clear waivers, the 25-year-old is likely to be reassigned to the AHL and continue to dominate at that level, but he probably won't receive more than bottom-six responsibilities should Philadelphia recall him at some point during 2024-25.

Flyers' Olle Lycksell: Returns to minors
Lycksell was reassigned to AHL Lehigh Valley on Wednesday.
Lycksell supplied a goal and five points in 18 appearances with the Flyers in 2023-24. He also has 19 goals and 38 points in 36 outings with Lehigh Valley. Philadelphia's season is over, but Lycksell will presumably link back up with the big club for next year's training camp to compete for a bottom-six roster spot.

Flyers' Olle Lycksell: Elevated from minors
Lycksell was recalled from AHL Lehigh Valley on Monday.
Lycksell's promotion could be an indication that there is an injury among the forwards ahead of Tuesday's clash with the Maple Leafs. Over his nine previous NHL appearances this season, the 24-year-old Lycksell managed three assists, 13 shots and one hit while averaging 9:47 of ice time. If Lycksell were to get into the lineup Tuesday, it would likely be in a bottom-six role.

Flyers' Olle Lycksell: Returns to AHL
Lycksell was reassigned to AHL Lehigh Valley on Thursday, per CapFriendly.
Lycksell had two assists over four contests during this stint in the NHL, but he was scratched Thursday versus the Panthers. Lycksell has been up and down all season, so he could be back with the Flyers if they trade away forwards ahead of Friday's trade deadline.

Flyers' Olle Lycksell: Summoned from minors
Lycksell was recalled from AHL Lehigh Valley on Sunday.
Lycksell has 18 goals and 32 points across 34 AHL appearances this season. The 24-year-old forward also has one assist in five NHL outings during the 2023-24 campaign. Lycksell's call-up doesn't bode well for the status of Travis Konecny (upper body) ahead of Sunday's contest against Pittsburgh.
