Pinto has been one of the most prolific forwards in the early stages of the season, and Thursday's goal was his sixth of the campaign. He's found the twine in all but one of his five outings, a span where he's also racked up one assist, a plus-2 rating, six PIM and 15 shots on goal. Pinto's six goals are tied for the league's lead entering Friday's action.

Pinto scored his fifth goal of the season in Wednesday's 8-4 loss to the Sabres.
The 24-year-old deflected a shot between his legs and past Alex Lyon just 40 seconds into the third period, although the Senators were already in a 5-2 hole at that point. Pinto is improbably tied for the NHL lead in goals through four games, producing six points in total, but considering he set career highs in 2024-25 with 21 goals and 37 points over 70 regular-season contests, he should be expected to fall off that pace quickly. Ottawa is trying to capitalize on his hot streak, however, as Pinto saw a 5:04 TOI on the power play Wednesday, more than the likes of Tim Stutzle or Jake Sanderson.

Pinto registered the primary helper on Jake Sanderson's game-opening goal at 11:21 of the first period. It was Pinto's 15th snipe of the season. That doesn't seem remarkable, but dig deeper and you'll see that he had just one goal as of Dec. 12. In fact, that goal came on opening night, and he didn't score again for 19 games. Since then, Pinto has been the Sens' best sniper with 14 goals, and he also has nine assists. File his name as a trade target or perhaps a sneaky pick next draft, depending on your categorical needs.
