Panthers' Anton Lundell: Facing multi-week absence
Head coach Paul Maurice said Wednesday that Lundell (ribs) is expected to miss approximately 2-6 weeks, George Richards of Florida Hockey Now reports.
Lundell has missed the Panthers' last two games due to his rib injury, and he recently underwent an MRI. Maurice said that the results were "not good," and even though Lundell won't require surgery, he'll need some time on the shelf to recover. The early range of Lundell's timetable would allow him to return before the end of the regular season. However, the Panthers will likely elect to shut him down for the remainder of the year.

Panthers' Anton Lundell: Unavailable against Seattle
Lundell (upper body) will not suit up versus the Kraken on Tuesday, George Richards of Florida Hockey Now reports.
Head coach Paul Maurice said Tuesday that Lundell may be out slightly longer than initially anticipated due to his upper-body injury. Lundell scored a power-play goal in Thursday's 4-0 win over the Oilers.
Lundell gave the Panthers a 3-0 lead at 14:21 of the second period with a snap shot in what was his 18th goal of the season -- and his fourth on the power play. Lundell is just two points away from setting a new career high, and his goal Thursday tied his previous personal-best mark from 2021-22, which was his rookie year. Lundell should establish a new career-high mark in scoring sooner rather than later as long as he stays healthy.

Most of that has to do with the season-ending injury Aleksander Barkov (knee) suffered in training camp, but it also helps that at the age of 24, Lundell is maturing with an increased role. He has 17 goals and 43 points in 2025-26 and is just two points away from tying his career high in points.
