Canadiens' Kaiden Guhle: Moves to IR
Guhle (lower body) is listed on injured reserve, according to the NHL media site.
Guhle's IR designation doesn't come as a surprise, as Montreal relayed Saturday that the 23-year-old is slated to miss 4-6 weeks due to his lower-body injury. Jayden Struble, who was a healthy scratch for the first four games of the season, will likely be a fixture on the blue line for the duration of Guhle's absence.

Canadiens' Kaiden Guhle: Nets goal in win
Guhle scored a goal on four shots, added three hits and logged seven PIM in Saturday's 3-2 win over the Blackhawks.
Guhle's game-winning tally came with 15 seconds left in the third period. The 23-year-old missed some time due to a groin injury in the preseason, but he's handled a top-four role to begin 2025-26. Guhle has a goal, four shots, 10 hits, five blocks and seven PIM over three contests, giving him some appeal in fantasy for his category coverage. However, he won't come anywhere near the scoring potential of teammates Noah Dobson and Lane Hutson.

Canadiens' Kaiden Guhle: Shelved versus Sens
Guhle (groin) will be sidelined for Tuesday's preseason clash with Ottawa, Stu Cowan of The Montreal Gazette reports.
Guhle was limited to just 55 regular-season games last year due to injury, but he still nearly hit the 20-point threshold (six goals and 12 assists). While he doesn't have a role with the man advantage, the 23-year-old blueliner could put up 25-30 points if he can avoid any more extended injury absences.

Guhle (quadriceps) is expected to be in the lineup Friday versus the Hurricanes, Eric Engels of Sportsnet reports.

The 23-year-old will bolster the Canadiens' blue line as they look to find some leverage in the playoff race. Joshua Roy is set to come out of the lineup to make way for Guhle.

Canadiens' Kaiden Guhle: Set to travel
Guhle (quadriceps) practiced Monday and will travel with the Canadiens on the team's upcoming four-game road trip, which begins Tuesday in St. Louis.
Guhle has been out for the last 19 games after having surgery in late January to repair a lacerated quadriceps muscle. It remains unclear when he will be ready to return, but accompanying the team on the road will allow him to continue practicing. He has earned four goals, 14 points, 58 shots on net, 100 blocked shots and 67 hits in 44 appearances this season.

Guhle caught a rut and fell awkwardly in the third period. The 23-year-old is a big part of the Canadiens' top four and would be a big loss if he's out for any length of time. Jayden Struble is likely to enter the lineup if Guhle is unavailable for Thursday's game against the Wild.
