The 28-year-old blueliner has looked no worse for wear after missing time late in the preseason due to an undisclosed injury. Injuries have cost him major portions of the last two seasons, and that may have caused some fantasy managers to forget what he can do when healthy. He's in a position to succeed as a top-four blueliner with ample power-play time.

Dunn battled an undisclosed injury during the preseason, but he was able to handle a top-four role Thursday, playing 19:54 in the win. He scored the Kraken's first goal of the season just 2:21 into the game. The 28-year-old defenseman has plenty of fantasy potential, though it may be a bit much to ask him to replicate his career year of 64 points from 2022-23. He had 39 points over 62 outings in 2024-25, and he should be able to push over the 40-point threshold if he can stay healthy this year. At his best, Dunn is a steady offensive defenseman who can provide decent totals in PIM and blocked shots as well.

Wednesday's clash is Seattle's final preseason game, so Dunn won't get another chance to shake off the rust before the Kraken's regular-season opener against Anaheim on Oct. 9. Dunn had 11 goals and 39 points across 62 appearances in 2024-25. If he's not available for Opening Night, then Josh Mahura or Ville Ottavainen might draw into the lineup.

Dunn got on the scoresheet in the final minute of the third period on Eeli Tolvanen's goal. The 28-year-old Dunn had four assists over seven outings in April, but he ended 2024-25 in a 22-game goal drought. The defenseman concluded the campaign at 39 points (12 on the power play), 137 shots on net, 79 blocked shots, 33 PIM and a minus-3 rating over 62 appearances. It wasn't a great season for him compared to the previous two years, but Dunn's power-play time and top-four usage will keep him in the conversation in fantasy for 2025-26.
