Panthers' Evan Rodrigues: Tickles twine in blowout win
Rodrigues scored a goal on three shots and went plus-2 in Saturday's 6-2 win over the Senators.
Rodrigues has opened 2025-26 on a three-game point streak, earning a goal and two assists so far. The 32-year-old will be asked to up his scoring pace to help overcome the loss of Aleksander Barkov (knee) for the regular season. Rodrigues can also add some category coverage for fantasy -- he's racked up four shots on net, four hits, two blocked shots and a plus-3 rating. Look for the veteran forward to fill a middle-six role with power-play time.

Panthers' Evan Rodrigues: Set to play Thursday
Rodrigues (undisclosed) is expected to be in the lineup for Thursday's preseason game versus the Lightning.
Rodrigues missed two preseason contests while nursing the injury. The 32-year-old forward figures to play in a middle-six role throughout the year, though he may get a bit more ice time initially as the Panthers look to navigate the start of the season without Matthew Tkachuk (groin). Rodrigues has played on the wing in recent years but may shift to center due to the absence of Aleksander Barkov (knee).

Panthers' Evan Rodrigues: Remains out Tuesday
Rodrigues (undisclosed) will not play versus Tampa Bay on Tuesday, Jordan McPherson of the Miami Herald reports.
Rodrigues will be out of action for his second consecutive contest due to his undislocated injury. The 32-year-old center could find himself moving into a top-six role following Aleksander Barkov's (knee) long-term injury, though Rodrigues will need to edge out Anton Lundell for that spot. Even in a third-line role, Rodrigues should be capable of putting up 30-plus points for the fifth straight year.

Panthers' Evan Rodrigues: Won't play Monday
Rodrigues (undisclosed), as expected, won't be in action to face the Hurricanes on Monday, Jordan McPherson of the Miami Herald reports.
While Rodrigues' absence was deemed minor and something he might play through in the regular season, it seems unlikely he will feature in Tuesday's matchup with the Lightning either, though he hasn't been officially ruled out. With Aleksander Barkov (knee) likely to miss the entire 2025-26 regular season, Rodrigues could push for a steady spot in the top six.

Panthers' Evan Rodrigues: Exits Sunday's practice
Rodrigues (undisclosed) left Sunday's practice early for precautionary reasons, Jameson Olive of the Panthers' official site reports.
Rodrigues might sit out Monday's preseason matchup against Carolina, but head coach Paul Maurice said the 32-year-old forward would be playing if it were a regular-season game. Rodrigues had 15 goals and 32 points in 82 games during the 2024-25 campaign before adding 13 helpers and 15 points in 21 playoff outings.

Panthers' Evan Rodrigues: Big night on power play
Rodrigues scored a goal and an assist Monday, both on the power play, in the Panthers' 6-1 win over the Oilers in Game 3 of the Stanley Cup Finals.
After setting up Carter Verhaeghe for what proved to be the game-winning tally late in the first period, Rodrigues wrapped up the scoring late in the third with a one-timer past Calvin Pickard. The 31-year-old has a four-game playoff point streak going, and since returning from an undisclosed injury for the final game of the second round, Rodrigues has erupted for two goals and 12 points in nine contests, including seven points (one goal, six helpers) with the man advantage.

Panthers' Evan Rodrigues: Supplies assist in win
Rodrigues logged a power-play assist and six hits in Friday's 5-4 double-overtime win over the Oilers in Game 2 of the Stanley Cup Finals.
Rodrigues has a power-play helper in each of the first two games in the Cup Finals. The 31-year-old was shuffled down to the second line for this contest, but it's not because of a lack of offense. He's earned a point in each of the last three games and is now at one goal, 12 helpers, 26 shots on net, 37 hits, 10 PIM and a plus-2 rating through 17 playoff contests. He's earned five of his assists on the power play, with all of those contributions with the man advantage coming since the start of the Eastern Conference Finals.

Panthers' Evan Rodrigues: Gets first goal of playoffs
Rodrigues scored a goal on two shots, added two PIM and logged three hits in Wednesday's 5-3 win over the Hurricanes in Game 5.
Rodrigues' tally in the second period tied the game at 2-2. It was his first goal this postseason, as he's often had to settle for setting up teammates rather than finding the twine himself. The 31-year-old forward is up to 11 points, 24 shots on net, 29 hits, eight PIM and a plus-2 rating across 15 playoff appearances. He should continue to be a factor on offense as long as he remains in a top-six role heading into the Stanley Cup Finals.

While he remains without a goal this postseason, he has seven helpers over his last four games and a total of nine assists, 19 shots on net, 22 hits and a plus-2 rating over 13 appearances in these playoffs. The Panthers have won four straight games since he returned after missing two contests due to an undisclosed injury, so Rodrigues is playing his role nearly to perfection at this stage of the postseason.
