  • Oilers' Connor McDavid: Point streak up to seven games

McDavid recorded two assists and three shots on goal in Thursday's 5-4 loss to the Blue Jackets.

McDavid didn't find the back of the net in this one, but he still helped out on two of the team's four goals. Aside from cracking the scoresheet in every one of his November appearances so far, tallying 13 points (four goals, nine assists) in seven games this month, McDavid is among the most productive players in the league once again. His 27 points rank second in the league, only behind Nathan MacKinnon's 33.

  • Oilers' Connor McDavid: Scores twice, extends streak

McDavid scored two goals and took five shots on goal in Monday's 5-4 overtime win over the Blue Jackets.

McDavid came through when the Oilers needed him the most. The star center found the twine twice in the third period and reduced the Blue Jackets' lead to just one goal both times. This was the second time McDavid scored more than one goal in a single game this season, and his production remains off the charts. He's now riding a five-game point streak with 10 points (four goals, six assists) since the beginning of November.

  • Oilers' Connor McDavid: Nets lone goal in loss

McDavid scored a power-play goal on four shots, added two PIM and went minus-3 in Saturday's 9-1 loss to the Avalanche.

If this was a measuring-stick game for McDavid and the Oilers, they came up vastly short of Nathan MacKinnon and the Avalanche. McDavid's goal prevented a shutout and gave him two goals and six helpers over his last four games, but that won't satisfy him amid the Oilers' three-game losing streak. For the season, the 28-year-old superstar has five goals, 22 points, 45 shots on net and a minus-3 rating over 16 appearances.

  • Oilers' Connor McDavid: Reaches career milestone Monday

McDavid notched two assists, including one on the power play, in Monday's 3-2 loss to the Blues.

McDavid became the fourth-fastest player in NHL history to reach 1,100 career points following this two-assist performance, but the Oilers still lost the game, so they've now dropped four of their last six (2-2-2). Despite the collective struggles, McDavid remains an absolute force on offense for Edmonton. This was his sixth multi-point game of the season, and he's up to 19 points (three goals, 16 helpers) in 14 games so far.

  • Oilers' Connor McDavid: Distributes three assists in win

McDavid logged three assists, including two on the power play, and added five shots on goal in Saturday's 3-2 overtime win over the Blackhawks.

McDavid had a hand in power-play goals by Leon Draisaitl and Jack Roslovic in the second period as well as Evan Bouchard's game-winning tally in overtime. McDavid has five multi-point efforts this campaign. The 28-year-old superstar is up to 17 points (three goals, 14 assists), eight of which have come with the man advantage. He's added 42 shots on net and a minus-3 rating across 13 appearances. He's still playing better than most, but we haven't seen McDavid's absolute best yet in 2025-26.

He's at three goals, 14 points, 31 shots and a minus-2 rating across 11 appearances, with all three of his tallies coming in the last five games.

  • Oilers' Connor McDavid: Distributes three assists

McDavid logged three assists, including two on the power play, and added three shots on goal in Thursday's 6-5 win over the Canadiens.

McDavid was right at the heart of the Oilers' third-period comeback, setting up goals by Leon Draisaitl and Ryan Nugent-Hopkins. The 28-year-old McDavid has multiple helpers in three of eight games to begin the year. He's produced one goal, 10 assists, 25 shots on net and a minus-2 rating. He's too talented to shoot 4.0 percent for a long stretch, so expect his luck to turn around soon.

  • Oilers' Connor McDavid: Gets first goal of season

McDavid scored a goal Tuesday in a 3-2 OT win over Ottawa.

It was his first goal in seven games this season. McDavid opened the scoring at the 16:31 mark of the first when he one-timed a centering pass from Ryan Nugent-Hopkins on the power play. Yes, the superstar has gotten off to a relatively quiet start, but McDavid still has eight points, including seven assists, and 22 shots in seven games this season.

  • Oilers' Connor McDavid: Two helpers in New Jersey

McDavid notched two assists in Saturday's 5-3 loss to the Devils.

Both helpers came on tallies by Ryan Nugent-Hopkins, but the Oilers' offense didn't have much else going on in the afternoon affair. McDavid has a five-game point streak going to begin the season, and while he's still looking for his first goal of 2025-26, the 28-year-old superstar already has seven assists.

  • Oilers' Connor McDavid: Opens season with two assists

McDavid provided a pair of assists, including one on the power play, and five shots on goal in Wednesday's 4-3 shootout loss to the Flames.

While we won't get to enjoy contract-year McDavid after he signed a two-year deal Monday, his regular level of production is still quite exciting. He helped out on first-period tallies by Ryan Nugent-Hopkins and Andrew Mangiapane to open his account for 2025-26. McDavid has logged at least 100 points in eight of the last nine seasons, and that's the bare-minimum expectation for him as long as he can stay relatively healthy. He could be more productive this year if he's able to increase his shot volume -- he averaged just 2.9 shots per game in the 2024-25 regular season, his lowest mark since his rookie year.

  • Oilers' Connor McDavid: Signs two-year extension

McDavid agreed to terms on a two-year, $25 million contract extension with Edmonton on Monday.

McDavid's deal comes in well short of the massive contract just signed by Kirill Kaprizov ($17 million AAV). Still, it is a short-term bridge deal that will allow McDavid to cash in sooner by going with significantly less term. The world-class center will also be able to see how much the team progresses over the next three seasons before deciding whether to commit to Edmonton long term. McDavid figures to be a lock for the 100-point mark, a threshold he's reached in five straight campaigns, and he should be near the top of the league in points -- as long as he doesn't miss significant time due to injury like he did last season, when he was limited to just 67 regular-season games.
