Jets' Nick Folk: Makes lone kick Friday
Folk made his only field-goal attempt in Friday's 19-17 preseason loss to the Eagles.
Folk connected on a 41-yard field-goal attempt to end the first half. Meanwhile, Harrison Mevis missed a 55-yard attempt in the third quarter. Folk was already viewed as the favorite to win the Jets' kicking job after making 50 of 52 field-goal attempts over the previous two seasons with the Titans, and that standing was likely solidified Friday.

Jets' Nick Folk: Connects on two short FGs
Folk made both of his field-goal attempts in Saturday's 31-12 preseason loss to the Giants.
Folk connected on his first two field-goal attempts of the preseason after Harrison Mevis went 3-for-3 in the preseason opener against the Packers. Most questions about the 40-year-old Folk's ability are tied to power rather than accuracy, so it's no surprise he had no trouble making field goals of 38 and 31 yards Saturday. Folk remains the favorite over Mevis in the Jets' kicking competition.

Jets' Nick Folk: Finds job with Jets
Folk signed with the Jets on Tuesday, Zack Rosenblatt of The Athletic reports.
Folk, who kicked for the Jets from 2010-16, suited up for 14 regular-season games with the Titans in 2024 and remained effective, converting 21 of 22 field-goal attempts -- including all six of his kicks from 50-plus yards out -- and all 25 of his extra-point tries. Now entering his age-41 season, Folk will be the favorite to start for New York in Week 1 as long as he proves in training camp that his consistency hasn't slipped. His primary competition will be UFL standout Harrison Mevis after the team waived Caden Davis on Tuesday.

Nick Folk: Still looking to catch on with team
Folk (abdomen) is aiming to return for an 18th NFL season, Jeremy Fowler of ESPN.com reports.
Folk missed the last three games of the 2024 regular season due to an abdominal injury, but he posted a video of himself kicking field goals Wednesday and appears to be fully healthy. Folk has led the league in field-goal percentage over the past two seasons, going 50-for-52 on field-goal attempts while making all six of his tries from 50-plus yards. Given his accuracy, the veteran should be on the radar of teams looking for an upgrade at kicker.

Titans' Nick Folk: Strong 2024 season
Folk (abdomen) made 21 of his 22 field-goal attempts and all 25 of his extra-point attempts across 14 games with the Titans in 2024.
Folk missed Tennessee's final three games, but he had a strong season otherwise. His only missed field goal came in Week 10 when he pushed a 49-yard attempt wide right, and he impressively made all six of his attempts from 50 yards away or further. Though he'll be entering his age-41 season, Folk should receive a contract this offseason -- whether in Tennessee or elsewhere -- after another strong campaign.

Titans' Nick Folk: Out for Week 18 finale
Folk (abdomen) has been ruled out for Sunday's game against the Texans, Jim Wyatt of the Titans' official site reports.
Matthew Wright again should handle kicking duties for Tennessee in Week 18. Folk will close out the 2024 season missing his third straight contest, finishing 21 of 22 on field-goal attempts and registering an NFL-best 95.5 percent success rate. He also made all 25 of his extra-point tries. He's been nearly automatic in two seasons for Tennessee, leading the league in field-goal make percentage in both 2023 and 2024. The 40-year-old is scheduled to be a free agent in March.

Titans' Nick Folk: Upgrades practice activity
Folk (abdomen) was a limited participant in Thursday's practice.
Folk has missed the Titans' last two games and was listed as a non-participant for each of the team's previous four practices before getting back on the field Thursday, albeit in a limited capacity. The Titans will reassess Folk following Friday's practice before determining whether he or practice-squad member Matthew Wright will handle the kicking duties in Sunday's season finale versus the Texans.

Titans' Nick Folk: Misses Wednesday's practice
Folk (abdomen) didn't participate in Wednesday's walkthrough practice, Jim Wyatt of the Titans' official site reports.
Folk has missed the Titans' last two games due to an abdomen injury, and Wednesday's DNP likely suggests he's in jeopardy of missing a third in the Week 18 matchup against the Texans. The 40-year-old likely needs to upgrade to at least limited practice participation Thursday or Friday in order to suit up Sunday. It's unclear who would kick for Tennessee if Folk is sidelined in Week 18, as Matthew Wright was waived Monday after kicking for the team in Week 17.

Titans' Nick Folk: Missing second consecutive game
Folk (abdomen) has been ruled out for Sunday's game against the Jaguars, Turron Davenport of ESPN.com reports.
Folk will miss a second consecutive game. The Titans plan to add Matthew Wright from their practice squad to fill in for Folk after Brayden Narveson missed his only field-goal attempt while kicking in Folk's place against the Colts in Week 16. Folk's last chance to suit up this season will come against the Texans in Week 18.

Titans' Nick Folk: Misses another practice
Folk (abdomen) didn't practice Thursday, Jim Wyatt of the Titans' official site reports.
Folk's abdominal injury prevented him from playing in the Titans' 38-30 loss to the Colts in Week 16 and has now kept him sidelined for the team's first two Week 17 practices. According to Terry McCormick of TitanInsider.com, the Titans remain hopeful that Folk will be able to handle kicking duties in this Sunday's game in Jacksonville, but Tennessee added some insurance by signing Matthew Wright to their practice squad Thursday. Wright would presumably be elevated to the roster Saturday if Folk is in any danger of missing a second straight game.
