Bears' Ozzy Trapilo: Sent to IR
The Bears placed Trapilo (knee) on injured reserve Tuesday.
Trapilo will miss the remainder of Chicago's postseason run due to a patellar injury suffered in Saturday's 31-27 wild-card win over the Packers. He was replaced at left tackle by Theo Benedet versus Green Bay, and the Bears also activated Braxton Jones (knee) from IR on Tuesday, in preparation for Saturday's divisional-round game against the Rams.

Bears' Ozzy Trapilo: Will miss rest of season
Bears head coach Ben Johnson said that Trapilo suffered a patellar injury in Saturday's 31-27 wild-card win over the Packers and won't be available for the remainder of the postseason, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.
Trapilo managed both a knee and quadriceps issue over the past two weeks and missed Week 18 against Detroit, but he was able to suit up Saturday. However, he was hurt in the second half, and his injury will prevent him from playing again in the postseason regardless of how far the Bears advance. Theo Benedet entered at left tackle after Trapilo's departure and seems likely to start for Chicago next weekend in the divisional round.

Bears' Ozzy Trapilo: Ready to face Packers
Trapilo (quadriceps) practiced in full Thursday and does not carry an injury designation for Saturday's wild-card game against Green Bay.
Trapilo missed Week 18 and was limited in practice Tuesday and Wednesday, but he's back to full health in time for Chicago's playoff opener. He's on track to draw his usual start at left tackle versus the Packers on Saturday.

Bears' Ozzy Trapilo: Listed as limited again
Trapilo (knee/quad) was limited in practice Wednesday.
The Bears returned to practice Wednesday after holding a walkthrough session Tuesday, in which Trapilo was also listed as limited. The starting left tackle was also limited in practice prior to being held out Week 18. Meanwhile, backup tackle Braxton Jones (knee) has been a full participant since having his 21-day practice window opened Tuesday.

Bears' Ozzy Trapilo: Sidelined for Week 18
Trapilo (knee/quad) is inactive for Sunday's game against the Lions.
Trapilo was limited in practice all week due to knee and quad injuries. It's possible the rookie second-rounder could have played Sunday, but he will be sidelined for Week 18 and get extra rest ahead of the wild-card round of the NFC playoffs. Theo Benedet will draw the start at left tackle in Trapilo's absence.

Bears' Ozzy Trapilo: Limited to begin week
Trapilo (knee/quad) was estimated to be a limited practice participant Wednesday.
Trapilo has taken over at left tackle since Week 12 but seems to have picked up a knee injury in Sunday's loss to the 49ers. The fact that he was estimated to have practiced at all still bodes well for his ability to play in Week 18 against the Lions.

Bears' Ozzy Trapilo: Starting at LT in Week 12
In the absence of Theo Benedet (quadriceps), Trapilo will start at left tackle against the Steelers on Sunday, Brad Biggs of the Chicago Tribune reports.
Trapilo -- the Bears' second-round selection in the 2025 NFL Draft -- was unable to win a starting spot out of training camp. However, he will make his first regular-season start Sunday due to Benedet's injury and with Braxton Jones (knee) on injured reserve.
