  • Falcons' Drake London: Surprise inactive Sunday

London (hip) is listed as inactive Sunday versus the Dolphins, Tori McElhaney of the Falcons' official site reports.

Despite showing up as limited on Friday's practice report due to a hip issue, London initially wasn't tagged with a designation for Sunday's game, but the Falcons then changed his status to questionable Saturday, per Terrin Waack of the team's official site. With London's lack of availability now confirmed for Week 8 action, Atlanta's options at wide receiver will be Darnell Mooney, David Sills, Casey Washington, KhaDarel Hodge, Jamal Agnew and Dylan Drummond.

  • Falcons' Drake London: Now listed as questionable for Week 8

The Falcons changed London's status to questionable ahead of Sunday's game against the Dolphins due to a hip injury, Terrin Waack of the team's official site reports.

London didn't show up on Atlanta's Week 8 injury report until Friday as a limited participant with the hip issue, and the team then didn't tag him with a game-day designation. With the slight downgrade, his status now will need to be monitored ahead of Sunday's 1 p.m. ET kickoff to see if he'll be available. London currently sits with a 38-469-2 receiving line on 63 targets in six games this season, and if he's active he likely will be working with quarterback Kirk Cousins because regular starter Michael Penix (knee) is trending toward sitting out, per Adam Schefter of ESPN.

  • Falcons' Drake London: Little production on 10 targets

London recorded four receptions on 10 targets for 42 yards in Sunday's 20-10 loss to the 49ers.

London logged double-digit targets for the fourth time in six games this season, so lack of opportunity wasn't the reason for his poor line. However, he struggled to connect with Michael Penix both deep and in short areas of the field, leading to his inefficient day and his lowest yardage total of the campaign. The Falcons' passing game appeared to be getting on track in Weeks 5 and 6, making this a particularly disappointing step back.

  • Falcons' Drake London: Monster receiving line on MNF

London corralled 10 of 16 targets for 158 yards and a touchdown in Monday's 24-14 win over Buffalo.

It was the Bijan Robinson and Drake London Show on Monday Night Football after the two budding superstars accounted for 396 of Atlanta's 443 yards of offense. The 23-year-old London didn't cool off over his team's Week 5 bye, bookending the break with a pair of 100-plus yard games with a touchdown scored in each. He actually finished the contest as the only wide receiver to record a catch for Atlanta, highlighting his status as QB Michael Penix's unquestioned No. 1 target. A red-hot London will set his sights on a battered 49ers defense Week 7.
