Harris (coach's decision) is inactive for Sunday's game against the Ravens.
Harris worked in a rotational role at outside linebacker and contributed on special teams through the first four games of the regular season, but the 2022 third-rounder will be a healthy scratch for Sunday's game in Baltimore. Harris has been sidelined sporadically this offseason by a calf injury that has lingered for the better part of the last calendar year. Harris will miss a second preseason game while working through a calf injury. He's been ramping up his activity in practices, though he's been held out of team drills and limited to positional work. Harris missed all but five of Houston's 20 combined regular-season and postseason games in 2024 due to a calf injury he suffered prior to the season, but it now seems like he may finally be fully recovered. When he's at full strength, he projects as a starter at linebacker next to Azeez Al-Shaair and Henry To'oTo'o.

Harris is still dealing with the calf injury that forced him to miss 13 regular-season games last year. The 24-year-old will likely remain sidelined until he's fully healthy and will serve as one of the team's top rotational pass rushers once he returns.

Harris suffered a calf injury last summer and missed the first 13 games of the 2024 season. He was able to return for Week 15 and also played in both of the Texans' postseason contests. The linebacker still isn't fully healthy however, although the team believes he will be ready for Week 1. Harris projects to be the Texans' top depth option behind starters Henry To'oTo'o and Azeez Al-Shaair.
