  • Rams' Nick Hampton: Ready to go for Week 4

Hampton (illness) does not carry an injury designation in Sunday's matchup with Indianapolis, Adam Caplan of SiriusXM NFL Radio reports.

Hampton will be back in action in Week 4 after missing the team's 33-26 loss to the Eagles in Week 3 due to an illness. The 25-year-old will return to his spot as a top reserve option at outside linebacker behind Byron Young and Jared Verse against the Colts.

  • Rams' Nick Hampton: Sidelined for Week 3

Hampton (illness) has been ruled out ahead of Sunday's game against the Eagles.

Hampton was added to the injury report Saturday and was ruled out shortly thereafter. He's primarily contributed on special teams through two games while tallying one tackle.

  • Rams' Nick Hampton: Active for preseason opener

Hampton (pectoral) was active for Saturday's 31-21 preseason win over the Cowboys.

Hampton suffered a torn pectoral in Week 15 of the 2024 campaign, from which he has continued to work his way back during training camp. The linebacker was able to start Saturday's contest, proving his health ahead of the 2025 campaign. The 25-year-old is geared up to operate as a top reserve option behind Jared Verse (knee) and Byron Young at outside linebacker this season.

  • Rams' Nick Hampton: Officially on IR

Hampton (pectoral) was placed on injured reserve Tuesday.

Hampton suffered a torn pectoral in the team's Week 15 win over the 49ers, so his move to IR was an expected one. The linebacker will now shift his focus to being ready to go for the 2025 campaign.

  • Rams' Nick Hampton: Done for season

Hampton tore his pectoral Thursday against San Francisco and will need season-ending surgery, Stu Jackson of the Rams' official site reports.

Hampton was hurt around the middle of the fourth quarter and did not return. Further evaluation determined that the second-year linebacker tore his pec, and he won't be able to play again until next season. Hampton will finish the 2024 campaign with three tackles (two solo) and a defensed pass while logging 10 defensive snaps and 229 special-teams snaps over 14 contests.

  • Rams' Nick Hampton: Questionable to return Thursday

Hampton (chest) is questionable to return to Thursday's game against the 49ers.

The outside linebacker did not record a stat before exiting. Hampton has played mostly on special teams this season, making three tackles (two solo).

  • Rams' Nick Hampton: Headed to LA

The Rams selected Hampton in the fifth round of the 2023 NFL Draft, 161st overall.

Hampton started his final two years at Appalachian State and racked up a combined 18 sacks to earn all-conference honors across both seasons. He's likely to settle in as a pass-rush specialist as a pro, and he could do so immediately for the Rams given the team's lack of depth at outside linebacker.
