Chris Blair: Staying in ATL on practice squad
The Falcons signed Blair to the practice squad Wednesday, Terrin Waack of the team's official site reports.
Blair had an impressive training camp and finished the preseason with 12 catches (on 18 targets) for 197 yards and two touchdowns in three games. He wasn't able to crack the Falcons' 53-man roster, but he will stick around on the practice squad and could be elevated if Atlanta needs depth at wide receiver on game day. Blair has appeared in five regular-season games since joining the NFL in 2020 as an undrafted rookie.

Chris Blair: Fails to make Falcons' 53-man squad
The Falcons waived Blair on Tuesday, Terrin Waack, Will McFadden and Tori McElhaney of the team's official site report.
Blair spent most of the 2024 season on the Falcons' practice squad before being signed to the active roster in December, and he entered training camp competing for a depth spot at wide receiver. He ended up leading all receivers in receiving yards (197) and touchdowns (two) on 12 catches (18 targets). Blair won't be on the Falcons' initial 53-man roster despite a strong preseason, but he should garner interest on the waiver wire from teams looking to bolster depth at wide receiver. Blair is a candidate to return to the Falcons' practice squad if he clears waivers.

Falcons' Chris Blair: Catches another TD
Blair caught three of five passes for 78 yards and a touchdown during Friday's 23-20 preseason loss to the Titans.
Through two preseason games, Blair has been a standout, securing six of nine targets for 132 yards and two scores. Despite the strong performances, Blair, along with Dylan Drummond and David Sills, isn't projected to make the initial 53-man roster, per Tori McElhaney of the Falcons' official site. However, if that's the case, they'd all be candidates to join Atlanta's practice squad.

Falcons' Chris Blair: Catches TD in preseason opener
Blair caught three of four targets for 54 yards and a touchdown during Friday's 17-10 preseason loss to the Lions.
The undrafted wideout from Alcorn State has made five regular-season appearances with the Falcons over the last two seasons, securing only one of two targets for 17 yards. Like Dylan Drummond, Blair's familiarity with the organization and strong impression in the preseason opener help his chances of making the team. However, there's still stiff competition for roster spots behind Drake London, Darnell Mooney, Ray-Ray McCloud and KhaDarel Hodge. Given Jamal Agnew's return abilities, he'll likely take the fifth spot, leaving Blair to compete with Casey Washington, DJ Chark, David Sills and Drummond for potentially only one spot.

Falcons' Chris Blair: Signed to 53-man roster
The Falcons signed Blair off their practice squad Saturday.
Blair played six special teams snaps for Atlanta back in Week 1 but has played zero downs since. He was out of elevations, so the Falcons needed to sign him to the 53-man roster if they were going to have him for Week 16. Blair could get some playing time if KhaDarel Hodge (ribs) needs to miss Sunday's game.

Chris Blair: Reverts to practice squad
Blair reverted to the Falcons' practice squad Monday, per the NFL's transaction log.
For the second time this season, Blair was elevated from the practice squad only to not play a single snap. He's been elevated for three games this season, the maximum allotment. Atlanta would have to sign Blair to the active roster in order to have him available on game day moving forward.

Falcons' Chris Blair: Elevated for Week 14
The Falcons elevated Blair from the practice squad to the active roster Saturday, Daniel Flick of SI.com reports.
Blair will provide the Falcons with depth at wide receiver due to rookie sixth-rounder Casey Washington (concussion) being ruled out for Sunday's game against Minnesota. Blair was last elevated from the practice squad for Week 10 against the Saints, though he didn't end up playing.

Chris Blair: Reverts to practice squad
Blair reverted to Atlanta's practice squad Monday.
Blair was elevated ahead of Sunday's loss to the Saints but ended up not playing. He was likely activated to provide insurance at receiver in case Drake London was limited due to a hip injury, but the latter was able to play without any setbacks.

Falcons' Chris Blair: Elevated from practice squad
Blair was elevated from the Falcons' practice squad to the active roster Saturday, Tori McElhaney of the team's official site reports.
It's the second time Blair has been elevated to the active roster this season. He played in Week 1 against the Steelers, during which he logged six snaps on special teams and did not record a stat. Blair will likely reprise that role Sunday against the Saints and is unlikely to see snaps on offense.

Chris Blair: Returns to practice squad
Blair reverted to the Falcons' practice squad Monday, per the NFL's official transaction log.
Blair was elevated to the active roster ahead of Sunday's 18-10 loss to the Steelers, failing to produce any stats while playing six snaps with the special-teams unit. The wide receiver can be elevated two more times before the team would have to officially add him to the 53-man roster.

Falcons' Chris Blair: Elevated to active roster
Blair was elevated to the active roster Saturday for the Falcons' regular-season opener against the Steelers on Sunday, Terrin Waack of the team's official site reports.
Blair played in all three exhibition games for the Falcons, and he finished fourth in the league with 154 yards on eight catches during the preseason. Chris Blair: Waived by Atlanta

Chris Blair: Sticking in Atlanta
Blair signed with the Falcons' practice squad on Wednesday, Terrin Waack of the team's official site reports.
Blair appeared in one game with Atlanta last season after joining the team in September, spending most of the time afterward on their practice squad. He'll begin 2024 in that same role and will work to get a chance to be active on gameday this season.

Falcons' Chris Blair: Leads team in receiving
Blair caught four of five targets for 91 yards in Saturday's 13-12 preseason loss to Baltimore.
Blair had more than three-fourths of Atlanta's receiving yards in the first half and then added a 27-yard catch in the third quarter before calling it a day. He's a 2021 UDFA with one regular-season NFL appearance to his name, but he flashed some downfield chops this past spring with the UFL's DC Defenders while generating a 25-584-3 across 10 regular-season games. Blair's total of 136 yards through two preseason games gives him a decent case for a backup job on a team with shaky WR depth behind starters Drake London and Darnell Mooney.

Falcons' Chris Blair: Gets reserve/future deal from ATL
The Falcons signed Blair to a reserve/future contract Monday, Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston reports.
Blair spent much of his first two professional seasons in the Packers organization before joining Atlanta in 2023. He was elevated from the team's practice squad for Week 12 against New Orleans and saw his first NFL action, logging nine snaps on offense and 10 on special teams without recording any stats. Blair will be able to compete for a roster spot during training camp this summer.
