Panthers' Ja'Tyre Carter: Questionable to return Thursday
Carter (ankle) is questionable to return to Thursday's preseason contest against the Steelers, Darin Gantt of the Panthers' official site reports.
Carter suffered an ankle injury in the first half in Pittsburgh, placing some doubt on his ability to return to action. If the offensive guard is unable to return Thursday, he'll shift his focus to being ready to go for the regular-season opener Sept. 7 in Jacksonville.

Carter (back) was a full participant in practice Wednesday.
Carter was unable to practice last week, and he ultimately missed the team's loss to the Lions on Sunday. However, his return to practice suggests he should be ready to play Week 18 against the Vikings.

Carter (illness) was not listed on Chicago's injury report Wednesday ahead of Sunday's game versus Detroit.
Carter made his way onto the Bears' injury report ahead of Week 9 with an illness, and he didn't suit up for that game, but it would seem he has fully recovered at this point. The seventh-round rookie guard has yet to make his regular-season NFL debut.
