Terrell Williams: Cut by Saints
Williams had his contract terminated from the Saints' practice squad Tuesday to clear a roster spot for quarterback J.T. Barrett, Amie Just of NOLA.com reports.
Williams latched on with the Saints in May and had five tackles this preseason. The Houston product was cut to clear room for quarterback J.T. Barrett, who adds depth at the position while Drew Brees (hand) misses time for surgery.

Saints' Terrell Williams: Lands deal with New Orleans
Williams agreed to a contract with the Saints on Wednesday, Aaron Wilson of the Houston Chronicle reports.
Williams (6-foot-4, 212 pounds) is entering his second pro season after going undrafted out of Houston last April. After spending much of his subsequent rookie season on the 49ers' practice squad, Williams now appears to be getting a chance within a Saints secondary that has already been bolstered by a fourth- and sixth-round draft picks this offseason.

Terrell Williams: Let go by San Fran
Williams was waived by the 49ers on Monday, Matt Maiocco of NBC Sports Bay Area reports.
Williams signed with the 49ers after going undrafted last year, but suffered a knee injury in training camp and was released with an injury settlement. The 22-year-old rejoined the team on a reserve/future contract in January but was let go with a new group of undrafted players set to sign on.

49ers' Terrell Williams: Signs with Niners again
Williams signed a reserve/future contract with the 49ers on Monday, per the NFL's official transaction log.
The rookie out of the University of Houston suffered a knee injury during the preseason and was eventually released with an injury settlement. The 49ers currently have 10 safeties on the roster, so Williams will have an extensive evaluation before getting a chance on the team.

Williams (knee) agreed to an injury settlement with the 49ers on Tuesday, Matt Barrows of The Athletic Bay Area reports.
Williams suffered a season-ending knee injury during a practice last Thursday, so he'll rehab with an eye on returning in 2019. Dexter McCoil was brought in to fill his roster spot.

49ers' Terrell Williams: Lands on IR
Williams (knee) was placed on injured reserve Friday, Nick Wagoner of ESPN.com reports.
Williams was carted off the practice field Thursday with what is now confirmed to be a season-ending knee injury. Fortunately, the safety will not require surgery. The 49ers re-signed defensive back Dexter McCoil to take Williams' spot during training camp.
