Buccaneers' Benjamin Morrison: Not practicing
Morrison (hamstring) was held out of practice Wednesday, Scott Smith of the Buccaneers' official site reports.
Morrison tweaked his hamstring at practice Tuesday, causing him to be sidelined Wednesday. The injury bug has been following him around, as the 2025 second-round pick had season-ending hip surgery last year at Notre Dame. He has stood out in training camp so far and has a real shot to play a valuable rotational role in the Buccaneers' secondary this season.

Buccaneers' Benjamin Morrison: Standing out in camp
Morrison (hip) has been having a good training camp, Caleb Skinner of Sports Illustrated reports.
The 2025 second-round pick out of Notre Dame missed the back half of his final college season due to a hip injury, and it is believed he may have slipped out of the first round because of it. Since then, Morrison has turned heads during the offseason and training camp as he strives to secure a rotational role in the Buccaneers' secondary as a rookie.

Buccaneers' Benjamin Morrison: Back at practice
Head coach Todd Bowles told reporters that it was a great sign to see Morrison moving around at practice Friday following his hip surgery last season, Scott Smith of the Buccaneers' official site reports.
Smith also noted that the Buccaneers already believed Morrison would be ready for training camp, so any participation in OTAs would be a bonus. The Notre Dame product was considered one of the best corners in the 2025 NFL Draft but fell to the second round due to injury concerns. He started all 31 games he played over his three years in college, recording 18 passes defended, including nine interceptions. Now nearing full health again, Morrison is expected to compete for one of Tampa Bay's top outside cornerback spots this summer.

Buccaneers' Benjamin Morrison: Buccaneers add talented corner
The Buccaneers selected Morrison in the second round of the 2025 NFL Draft, 53rd overall.
Morrison (6-feet, 193 pounds) was a starter for all three of his seasons at Notre Dame, including a true freshman season where he intercepted six passes. A hip injury ended Morrison's 2024 season after six games, but it's not believed to be a long-term concern. Players who start as freshmen at schools as big as Notre Dame usually have a place in the NFL, and freshmen who produce like Morrison almost always do. Morrison should give the Buccaneers a potential long-term replacement for Jamel Dean.
