  • Buccaneers' Jacob Parrish: Snags first INT of NFL career

Parrish logged three tackles (two solo) and an interception during the Buccaneers' 44-32 loss to the Bills on Sunday.

Parrish was on the other end of an ill-advised pass from Josh Allen early in the first quarter, which set up the Buccaneers deep in opposing territory and ultimately led to a 23-yard field goal from Chase McLaughlin four plays later. It was Parrish's first interception of his NFL career, and the rookie third-rounder is up to 44 tackles (29 solo), including 2.0 sacks, and four pass defenses through 10 regular-season games.

  • Buccaneers' Jacob Parrish: Full session Wednesday

Parrish (oblique) practiced in full Wednesday.

Parrish suffered an oblique injury in Week 8 against the Saints. However, he benefitted from the bye week and looks to be in line to suit up Sunday against the Patriots.

  • Buccaneers' Jacob Parrish: Exits game with oblique injury

Parrish (oblique) is questionable to return to Sunday's game against the Saints.

Parrish appeared to sustain the injury during the fourth quarter. The Buccaneers are holding a commanding lead late in the fourth quarter, so he's is unlikely to return to Sunday's game even if he is cleared to do so. Josh Hayes and Benjamin Morrison would be in line for snaps at the slot corner position if Parrish remains sidelined.

  • Buccaneers' Jacob Parrish: Racks up tackles in win

Parrish recorded nine tackles (five solo) in the Buccaneers' 38-35 win over the Seahawks on Sunday.

Parrish played on 97 percent of the snaps -- 59 total -- and was highly active during his time on the field, tying Lavonte David for the team lead in tackles. The rookie third-round pick set a new career high in stops with his tally, which was partly the result of the Buccaneers being without Jamel Dean (hip), Benjamin Morrison (hamstring) and Christian Izien (quadriceps) in the secondary for Sunday's contest. Parrish could fill an elevated role again in a Week 6 home matchup against the 49ers if some or all of the aforementioned trio remains sidelined.

  • Buccaneers' Jacob Parrish: Active in preseason opener

Parrish, who recorded a solo tackle and defensed two passes in the Buccaneers' 29-7 preseason win over the Titans on Saturday night, stood out with his sticky coverage during the contest, Brianna Dix of the team's official site reports.

The rookie third-round pick has seemingly been wowing since first stepping on the practice field this spring, and it was encouraging to see Parrish carry over the momentum into his first taste of game action in an NFL setting. Parrish got off to a strong start by knocking down the first pass that went in his direction, and he then flashed his closing speed by breaking on a corner route by Elic Ayomanor and deflecting the ball as it arrived. Dix reports Parrish looked smooth in coverage while also impressing with change-of-direction skills and his constant knack for making plays on the ball. Parrish won't have to wait long to continue testing his mettle against unfamiliar competition, as the Buccaneers and Steelers will engage in joint practices later in the week before Saturday's preseason clash.

  • Buccaneers' Jacob Parrish: Primed for notable rookie role

Parrish, whom the Buccaneers selected in the third round out of Kansas State in the 2025 NFL Draft, has worked his way into the Buccaneers' nickel rotation and is being utilized as a blitzer as well, Brianna Dix of the team's official site reports.

There's been no shortage of accolades for Parrish, who played both left cornerback and in the nickel on third down in college while often working against some of the country's top receivers. Parrish recorded 23 pass defenses, including five interceptions, during his time at Kansas State, and he's been showing his closing pursuit on blitzes during camp. Additionally, Greg Auman of FOX Sports reports head coach Todd Bowles has taken note of how Parrish has shown impressively quick adaptability to the defensive scheme. "He's been good since the first day he got here. You correct him very little, and that's a scary thing, especially for me," Bowles said. "You tell him something one time and he's got it. He goes outside, goes inside, plays special teams."
