Spencer Brown: Doesn't make final roster
Brown was waived by the Falcons on Tuesday, Terrin Waack of the team's official site reports.
Brown didn't make Atlanta's final roster after having signed with the team earlier this month. The 25-year-old carried the ball nine times for 43 yards in two games with the Panthers last season and will now look to catch on with another team.

Falcons' Spencer Brown: Signs with Atlanta
The Falcons signed Brown to a contract Sunday.
Brown was waived by the Panthers with an injury settlement in May due to an unspecified injury. He worked out with the Browns in July, and while nothing came from that, the 25-year-old running back is back to full health and will look to earn a spot on the Falcons' 53-man roster. Brown has appeared in three regular-season games since entering the NFL as an undrafted free agent in 2021.

Spencer Brown: Works out with Cleveland
Brown worked out with the Browns on Wednesday, Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston reports.
The former Panthers running back hasn't appeared in a game since 2022, when he recorded nine carries for 43 yards on 31 offensive snaps. If the workout goes well, Brown could be competing for a depth role in Cleveland's backfield as the offseason progresses.

Spencer Brown: Let go from IR
The Panthers waived Brown (undisclosed) on Wednesday with an injury settlement, Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston reports.
Brown inked a reserve/future contract with Carolina in January after spending the 2023 season on and off of the team's practice squad. The 25-year-old running back was then waived with an undisclosed injury Friday, and he reverted to IR after going unclaimed. Brown will now be eligible to sign elsewhere ahead of the 2024 regular season.

Brown (undisclosed) reverted to the Panthers' injured reserve list Monday, Mike Kaye of The Charlotte Observer reports.
Brown spent two stints with the Panthers' practice squad in 2023 but was never elevated to the active roster. He signed with Carolina as an undrafted free agent in 2021 and played in three games over the next two seasons, recording nine carries for 43 yards.

In a corresponding move, Carolina placed running back Tarik Cohen (hamstring) on its practice squad injured list. Brown hasn't played in 2023, but in two games with the Panthers last season, he turned 11 touches into 53 yards.

Brown led Carolina with 31 carries and 111 rushing yards while scoring one touchdown in the preseason but didn't make the team's initial 53-man roster. He was then signed to the practice squad, though his stay there lasted only two weeks. Brown is now free to pursue an opportunity with another organization.
