Saints' Chase Young: Productive versus Tampa Bay
Young recorded four tackles (one solo), including 1.5 sacks, in New Orleans' loss versus the Buccaneers on Sunday.
Young was one of the Saints' few bright spots during the blowout loss, as he was involved in two of the team's three sacks of Baker Mayfield. The 2020 first-round pick has gotten off to a hot start since making his debut in the Week 6 loss to the Patriots, logging eight tackles (four solo), including 2.0 sacks, across his first three outings.

Saints' Chase Young: No longer under the weather
Young (illness) was a full participant in Thursday's practice.
Young was held out of Wednesday's practice due to an illness, but he appears to no longer be under the weather and should be available for Sunday's NFC South clash against the Buccaneers. The 2020 first-rounder missed the first five games of the regular season due to a calf injury, but he played in Weeks 5 and 6 and logged four tackles (three solo), including 0.5 sacks, and two pass defenses over that span.

Saints' Chase Young: Sidelined to begin week
Young (illness) did not practice Wednesday.
Young has played in the last two Saints' games, his only two contests of the season. There's no indication the illness will threaten his availability for Sunday's matchup against Tampa Bay, but his progress throughout the week will be worth monitoring.

Saints' Chase Young: Ready to rock
Young (calf) has no injury designation ahead of Sunday's matchup against the Patriots, Ross Jackson of WWL Louisiana reports.
The Ohio State product has yet to play this season due to a calf injury sustained in early September, but it now appears he's ready to make his 2025 debut in Week 6. Young appeared in 17 games for the Saints last season, recording 31 total tackles, including 5.5 sacks, three passes defended and one forced fumble. Now that he's returned to full health, he's expected to operate as one of the Saints' top outside linebackers and start opposite Carl Granderson.

Saints' Chase Young: Encouraging progress

Saints' Chase Young: Ruled out again
Young (calf) has been ruled out for Sunday's game against the Giants, Katherine Terrell of ESPN.com reports.
Young has yet to play this season, and it's curious as to why the Saints haven't placed Young on injured reserve at this point. Getting ruled out this early in the week would suggest Young isn't particularly close to a return. Chris Rumph will continue to see increased playing time on the Saints' defensive line.
