Buccaneers' Chris Godwin: Stays limited Wednesday
Godwin (fibula) was limited at Wednesday's walkthrough.
Godwin practiced last Wednesday for the first time since he emerged from Week 5 with a fibula injury. He's now been listed as limited on four consecutive injury reports, but coach Todd Bowles told Scott Smith of the Buccaneers' official site this Wednesday that Godwin was "ramping up" his activity level ahead of Sunday's contest at the Rams. Rookie WR Emeka Egbuka (illness) also was limited Wednesday, meaning the statuses of the team's top two options at the position on the active roster are up in the air for Week 12 action.

Buccaneers' Chris Godwin: Return in play for Week 12
Buccaneers head coach Todd Bowles said Wednesday that Godwin (fibula) is "ramping up" his activity at practice in order to have his availability for Sunday's matchup against the Rams evaluated, Scott Smith of the team's official site reports.
Bowles said the same of second-year running back Bucky Irving (shoulder/foot), who like Godwin returned to practice as a limited participant in Week 11 but was ruled out for Tampa Bay's loss to the Bills. Godwin hasn't played since Week 5 due to a fibula injury. If he's able to retake the field in time to suit up on the road during Sunday Night Football, Godwin will figure to join rookie Emeka Egbuka as one of the clear top targets for quarterback Baker Mayfield. In the event that Godwin is cleared to play but needs time to ramp up his snap count, however, Tez Johnson and Sterling Shepard will continue to handle expanded roles.

Buccaneers' Chris Godwin: Won't play this week
Godwin (fibula) has been ruled out for Sunday's game against the Bills, Greg Auman of Fox Sports reports.
Godwin and Bucky Irving both returned to limited practice participation this week, following lengthy absences, potentially setting up returns to game action in Week 12 or 13. Buccaneers head coach Todd Bowles didn't comment on expectations for the future, merely telling reporters Friday that Godwin and Irving won't play this week.

Buccaneers' Chris Godwin: Logs another limited practice
Godwin (fibula) was limited in practice Thursday.
Godwin isn't expected to be available for Sunday's road matchup at Buffalo, but it's encouraging to see him handle limited practice reps for a second consecutive day, and he could have a more realistic shot at retaking the field in Week 12 versus the Rams. The veteran wideout hasn't yet officially been ruled out to face the Bills, but head coach Todd Bowles stated Monday that the expectation is for Godwin to miss at least one more game. Emeka Egbuka, Tez Johnson and Sterling Shepard will start in three-wide sets as long as Godwin remains sidelined.

Buccaneers' Chris Godwin: Officially limited Wednesday
Godwin (fibula) was limited at Wednesday's walkthrough.
According to Greg Auman of Fox Sports, Godwin wasn't spotted at the media-access portion of Wednesday's session, but his activity level implies he was able to get in some on-field reps for the first time since coming out of a Week 5 win against the Seahawks with a fibula injury. Coach Todd Bowles told Rick Stroud of the Tampa Bay Times on Monday that he didn't expect Godwin to be available Sunday at Buffalo, so the veteran wide receiver may be merely increasing his activity level with the aim to return Week 12 or beyond.

Buccaneers' Chris Godwin: Remains sidelined Wednesday
Godwin (fibula) is not participating in Wednesday's walkthrough practice, Greg Auman of Fox Sports reports.
Godwin is expected to remain sidelined versus Buffalo on Sunday, which would mark his fifth consecutive missed game due to a fibula injury. He hasn't practiced in any capacity in that span. Emeka Egbuka, Tez Johnson and Sterling Shepard will continue to operate as Tampa Bay's top three wideouts if Godwin is indeed ruled out, with Mike Evans (collarbone) also out for the foreseeable future. On a positive note for the Buccaneers, RB Bucky Irving (shoulder/foot) returned to practice Wednesday, though he's also expected to miss Week 11.
