Lions' Darnell Sankey: Signs with Detroit
Sankey signed a contract with the Lions on Thursday.
Sankey joins the Lions after finishing last season on the Ravens practice squad. As a rookie in 2017, Sankey suited up for the Colts in six games, seeing the field for 100 special teams snaps but not a single defensive play. He'll compete for a reserve linebacker and special teams role while with the Lions.

Sankley was waived by the Colts on Wednesday.
Sankey has played in six games for the Colts this season but primarily played special teams and did not record a tackle. The 23-year-old was let go to make room for linebacker Jermaine Grace.
