Falcons' Khalid Kareem: Elevated for Week 10
The Falcons elevated Kareem (undisclosed) from the practice squad to the active roster Saturday, Tori McElhaney of the team's official site reports.
Kareem, who signed with the Falcons' practice squad in late August, is being elevated for the first time this season. He spent most of the 2023 regular season on the Bears' practice squad but did play in Week 8 against the Chargers, during which he registered one solo tackle and one pass defense while playing 24 snaps on defense. Kareem will give the Falcons additional depth at linebacker for Sunday's game against New Orleans after JD Bertrand was ruled out due to a concussion.

Khalid Kareem: Let go by Chicago
The Bears waived Kareem on Tuesday, Kevin Fishbain of The Athletic reports.
The move corresponds with the Bears acquiring Montez Sweat from the Commanders on Tuesday in exchange for a second-round pick. Kareem had just been activated off the Bears' injured reserve on Oct. 28 and played Sunday night against the Chargers when he was on the field for 24 defensive snaps and registered a solo tackle. Kareem will have the chance to explore his next options should he clear waivers.

Bears' Khalid Kareem: Set to play Sunday
The Bears activated Kareem (hip) from their injured reserve list Saturday, Kevin Fishbain of The Athletic reports.
Kareem did not suit up for the first two games of the season before picking up a hip injury ahead of the Bears' Week 3 matchup against the Chiefs. He was placed on IR on Sept. 25 and is now set to make his 2023 debut Sunday against the Chargers. His last full season came in his rookie year in 2020 with the Bengals, when he registered 19 tackles including one sack in 16 games.

Bengals' Khalid Kareem: Ditches IR
Cincinnati added Kareem (hamstring) from its injured reserve list to its active roster Monday, Ben Baby of ESPN.com reports.
Kareem had to miss the first five games of the season as he tended to a hamstring injury, but it now appears he could return as soon as Week 6 at New Orleans. As long as Sam Hubbard and Trey Hendrickson remain healthy though, Kareem will be relegated to a rotational role.
