Saints' Justin Reid: Clears protocol
Reid (concussion) has no injury designation ahead of Sunday's game against the Patriots, Ross Jackson of WWL Louisiana reports.
The 28-year-old safety sustained a concussion during the Week 5 win over the Giants but has since cleared protocol in time to suit up Sunday. Reid, a first-year Saint, has tallied 18 total tackles and one pass defended across his first five games with the team. Now healthy again, he's expected to start alongside Jonas Sanker to form New Orleans' top safety duo.

Saints' Justin Reid: Upgrades to full practice
Reid (concussion) practiced in full Thursday.
Reid suffered a concussion early in the Saints' Week 5 win over the Giants. That he's already progressed to practice fully is a positive sign, but it's not clear if he's cleared the league's concussion protocol. That will be the final step before he is cleared to suit up in Week 6 against the Patriots.

Saints' Justin Reid: Limited session Wednesday
Reid (concussion) logged a limited practice Wednesday.

Saints' Justin Reid: Enters concussion protocol
Reid has been diagnosed with a concussion and will not return to Sunday's game against the Giants.
Reid went to the locker room in the first quarter after taking a hit to the head, and the eighth-year safety has entered the league's concussion protocol after being evaluated by medical staff. Jordan Howden will take on an increased role at safety alongside Jonas Sanker in Reid's absence.

Saints' Justin Reid: Practices in full Thursday
Reid (knee) was a full participant in Thursday's practice.
Reid was limited in Wednesday's practice due to a knee issue. The injury doesn't appear to be much of a concern after he was able to practice Thursday without restrictions, and he should cleared for Sunday's home tilt against the Giants, barring any setback. The 2018 third-rounder has 16 tackles (13 solo) and one pass defense through the first four games of the regular season.
