Falcons' Jake Hanson: Placed on injured reserve
The Falcons placed Hanson (undisclosed) on injured reserve Saturday, Terrin Waack of the team's official site reports.
The severity and nature of Hanson's injury isn't clear, but he's now slated to miss the entire 2025 season unless he reaches an injury settlement with Atlanta. Hanson appeared in 12 regular-season games (two starts) for the Jets in 2024, and he signed with the Falcons on Aug. 10 to compete for a depth spot on the 53-man roster.

Jets' Jake Hanson: Past hamstring issue
Hanson (hamstring) was left off the Jets' injury report Wednesday.
The 27-year-old offensive lineman had been dealing with a hamstring injury, however, Wednesday's injury report suggests that he's since moved past the issue. With Hanson back at full health, he's expected to serve as the Jets' top backup left guard going forward.

Hanson will be sidelined for the second consecutive game Sunday after sustaining a hamstring injury in the Jets' Week 9 win over the Texans. Expect Olu Fashanu to continue serving as the Jets' top backup left guard until Hanson is past his injury.

Interim head coach Jeff Ulbrich told reporters Friday that Hanson (hamstring) won't play in Sunday's matchup against Cardinals, Eric Allen of the Jets' official site reports.
Hanson was unable to return to the Jets' Week 9 win over the Texans after sustaining a hamstring injury, and he was held out of practice both Wednesday and Thursday. Olu Fashanu will likely serve as the Jets' top backup guard in Hanson's stead.

Hanson (hamstring) will not return to Thursday night's game against the Texans, Rich Cimini of ESPN.com reports.
Hanson was playing in place of John Simpson (groin). Olu Fashanu is now in at right guard for the Jets. Fashanu is the fourth player to hold down that spot for New York this year, per Cimini.

Hanson was placed on New York's injured reserve prior to last season's final week. It seems as though he has since cleared all the league's concussion protocols, given his presence at OTAs. He is projected to compete for a depth role on the team's offensive line in the upcoming season.

The Packers waived Hanson (shin) from injured reserve with an injury settlement Thursday, Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston reports.
Hanson injured his shin in the Packers' second preseason game against the Patriots. He was then waived/injured by the team before subsequently reverting to IR after going unclaimed. Now, instead of spending the rest of the season on the sideline, the center will be able to look for a new opportunity once his health is back up to par.

Hanson (shin) cleared waivers Wednesday and subsequently reverted to injured reserve, Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston reports.
Hanson suffered a shin injury in Saturday's exhibition contest against New England and was waived with an injury designation Tuesday. He's since cleared waivers and has consequently reverted to IR. That means Hanson will miss the 2023 season unless he and Green Bay agree on an injury settlement.
