  • Buccaneers' Chase McLaughlin: Connects on five kicks vs. NOLA

McLaughlin made all three of his field-goal attempts and both of his extra-point tries during the Buccaneers' 23-3 win over the Saints on Sunday.

The Buccaneers' offense failed to generate points until the first possession of the second half. All three of McLaughlin's field goals came in the second half and from 50-plus yards. He is now a perfect 8-for-8 on field-goal attempts from 50-plus yards and is 17-for-21 on all field-goal tries and 16-for-17 on PATs through eight regular-season games.

  • Buccaneers' Chase McLaughlin: Nails only kick Monday

McLaughlin converted his only field-goal attempt from 53 yards out and didn't attempt an extra point during the Buccaneers' 24-9 loss to the Lions on Monday night.

The Buccaneers offense was surprisingly stymied by a short-handed Lions defense for significant portions of the night, and Tampa Bay went for a two-point conversion after its only touchdown, leaving McLaughlin without an extra-point attempt for the first time since Week 18 of the 2023 season. McLaughlin has been less accurate than usual over the first seven games this season with a 14-for-18 tally on field goals, but following Monday's successful make, he's a perfect 6-for-6 on kicks of 50-plus yards.

  • Buccaneers' Chase McLaughlin: Imperfect in Week 6

McLaughlin went 1-for-2 on field-goal attempts and made all three of his PATs in Sunday's 30-19 win over the 49ers.

McLaughlin missed a 49-yard field-goal try early in the fourth quarter before making a 45-yarder later in the period. The kicker has had a rollercoaster ride of a season to this point, making 13 of 17 field-goal attempts, including 4-for-4 from 50-plus yards, while going 14-for-15 on PATs over six games this year.

  • Buccaneers' Chase McLaughlin: Makes every kick Sunday

McLaughlin hit all three field-goal tries and all three extra-point attempts in Sunday's 38-35 win over the Seahawks.

The kicker made all three of his field-goal attempts from between 30 and 39 yards. McLaughlin missed a field goal in each of the first three games of the season and an extra point in Week 1, though he has not missed now in two weeks. With the high-scoring Bucs, he should see plenty of opportunities moving forward.

  • Buccaneers' Chase McLaughlin: On injury report, no designation

McLaughlin has been added to the Buccaneers' Week 5 injury report Saturday with an illness, but doesn't carry an injury designation.

McLaughlin is the only kicker on the Buccaneers' active roster, and considering that he wasn't given an injury designation, at this stage it doesn't appear as though his status for Sunday's game against the Seahawks will be impacted. Through four contests to date, McLaughlin has made nine of his 12 field-goal attempts and eight of his nine extra-point tries for a total of 35 points in that span.

  • Buccaneers' Chase McLaughlin: Breaks franchise record in loss

McLaughlin connected on all three of his field-goal attempts and went 2-for-2 on extra-point tries during the Buccaneers' 31-25 loss to the Eagles on Sunday.

Coming off a strong performance in the Bucs' Week 3 win over the Jets (5-for-6 on field-goal tries), McLaughlin broke a franchise record by connecting on a 65-yard field goal in the dying seconds of the second half to cut Tampa Bay's deficit to 18 points. That field goal was one yard shy from matching Justin Tucker's record of 66 yards against the Lions in 2021. McLaughlin has strung together two strong performances in consecutive weeks, and he'll look to carry that momentum into Seattle for the Bucs' Week 5 clash against the Seahawks on Sunday, Oct. 5.

  • Buccaneers' Chase McLaughlin: Plays hero in Week 3 win

McLaughlin went 5-for-6 on field-goal attempts and made both of his extra-point tries during the Buccaneer's 29-27 win over the Jets on Sunday.

Two of McLaughlin's five field goals came from 50-plus yards as he paced the Buccaneers' scoring. Things took a turn for the worst in the fourth quarter for Tampa Bay, when McLaughlin's field-goal attempt from 43 yards to extend the Bucs' lead to nine points was blocked by Will McDonald, who scooped the ball and returned it for a touchdown to give the Jets a one-point lead. Baker Mayfield was able to bring the Buccaneers back down the field into the Jets' territory to set up McLaughlin for a 36-yard field goal, who hit it right down the middle to improve the Bucs' record to 3-0. McLaughlin missed three kicks over the first two games of the regular season, but Sunday's effort showed why he's been one of the most reliable kickers in the NFL over the past two seasons. Next up is a Week 4 home matchup against the Eagles, whose special-teams unit blocked two field goals (one of which was returned for a touchdown) in a 33-26 win over the Rams on Sunday.

  • Buccaneers' Chase McLaughlin: Misses another kick in Week 2

McLaughlin missed his only field-goal attempt and made two PATs in Monday's 20-19 win over the Texans.

McLaughlin once again connected with the upright in Week 2, missing a 38-yard field goal in the third quarter. The kicker has now missed two field goals and one extra-point try over the first two games of the year, and he'll look to get back on track in the team's Week 3 matchup with the Jets on Sunday.

  • Buccaneers' Chase McLaughlin: Misses pair of kicks in win

McLaughlin went 1-for-2 on field-goal attempts and 2-for-3 on his extra-point tries in Sunday's 23-20 win over the Falcons.

McLaughlin missed a 44-yard attempt wide left in the third quarter and then doinked an extra point off the left upright near the end of the fourth quarter that would have put the Bucs up by four points. Instead, it left the door open for the Falcons to potentially tie the game late, though Younghoe Koo missed a 44-yard field goal with six seconds left. McLaughlin figures to be busy this season in the Bucs' high-powered offense. He made 30 of 32 field-goal tries last season and 54 of 56 extra-point attempts.

  • Buccaneers' Chase McLaughlin: True on three kicks Saturday

McLaughlin connected on field-goal attempts of 45 and 23 yards and also converted his one extra-point try in the Buccaneers' 29-7 preseason win over the Titans on Saturday night.

The veteran kicker already looked in midseason form during his first taste of game action since the wild-card loss to the Commanders in January. McLaughlin tied a career high with 32 made field goals and posted a career-best 93.8 percent conversion rate on field-goal attempts across 17 regular-season games in 2024, and he once again projects for plenty of scoring opportunities in the coming season while attached to the team's Baker Mayfield-led offense.

  • Buccaneers' Chase McLaughlin: Closes out season impressively

McLaughlin converted field-goal attempts of 52 and 25 yards and knocked home all three extra-point attempts in the Buccaneers' 27-19 win over the Saints on Sunday. He finished the 2024 regular season having gone 30-for-32 (93.8 percent) on field goals and 54-for-56 on PATs.

The veteran kicker managed to inch past his previous career-best field-goal accuracy rate of 93.5 percent, which he'd established just last season, with Sunday's perfect tally. McLaughlin did misfire on extra-point tries for the first time since the 2021 season, but he'll enter the postseason as one of the most trusted kickers in the field of 14 teams and remains under contract with the Buccaneers through the 2026 season.
