Scott (groin) is active for Sunday's game against the Packers, Darin Gantt of the Panthers' official site reports.
Scott was working through a groin issue during Week 9 prep, but the seventh-year safety has been cleared to play against Green Bay. The 2019 seventh-rounder has accumulated 41 tackles (25 solo) and two pass defenses through the first eight games of the regular season.

The veteran safety from Penn State had his most productive game of the season in the Week 8 loss, finishing with the second-most tackles on Carolina's defense. Panthers' Nick Scott: Returning to Carolina
Scott and the Panthers have agreed upon a one-year contract, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.
Scott struggled in his first season with Carolina after signing a one-year deal last March, logging 30 tackles -- his fewest since 2020 -- and two defensed passes over 10 games. Part of the reason for his reduced numbers was injuries, as the Penn State product dealt with multiple issues that collectively caused him to miss seven games. Scott made four starts early in the campaign for the Panthers last year, but he finished the campaign playing exclusively on special teams. With Carolina's signing of Tre'von Moehrig in early March, Scott figures to serve as depth at safety this season while reprising his role as a core special-teamer.

Panthers' Nick Scott: Struggles in Carolina
Scott recorded 30 total tackles and two passes defended across 10 games in 2024.
Scott inked a one-year, $1.3 million deal with the Panthers this past offseason after posting 57 total tackles in 17 games with the Bengals in 2023. The 29-year-old endured a tough season in Carolina, dealing with hamstring, quadriceps and shoulder injuries that limited him to 10 appearances. Primarily serving as one of the Panthers' top reserve safeties, he started just four games in place of the injured Jordan Fuller. Scott tallied 22 total tackles and one pass defended during those four starts, while contributing almost exclusively on special teams in his other appearances. The Penn State product is now set to hit unrestricted free agency and will likely be forced to sign another one-year prove-it deal after an underwhelming 2024 campaign.

Scott was inactive for the Panthers' Week 15 loss to the Cowboys despite being activated from injured reserve Friday. He's missed Carolina's last seven games due to a hamstring injury sustained in a Week 7 loss to the Commanders, but his omission from Wednesday's injury report suggests he's now recovered from the issue. With Scott back at full health, he's expected to serve as the Panthers' top reserve safety in the Week 16 matchup against the Cardinals.
