Saints' Alvin Kamara: Active Sunday
Kamara (ankle) is active for Sunday's game at the Rams.
Kamara has been playing through an ankle injury the last two contests and was listed as questionable for Week 9 after logging three limited practices. Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reported late Saturday that Kamara was in line to suit up Sunday, and the Saints have confirmed as much upon posting their inactive list. Kamara has mustered 74 yards from scrimmage and no TDs on 22 touches during the aforementioned two-game stretch and now will be working with new starting signal-caller Tyler Shough instead of Spencer Rattler moving forward.

Saints' Alvin Kamara: In line to suit up Sunday
Kamara (ankle), who is questionable for Sunday's Week 9 matchup against the Rams, is expected to play, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.
Kamara again dealt with an ankle injury throughout the week and logged a trio of limited practices. Saints coach Kellen Moore said Friday that the star running back was trending in the right direction, and it now appears likely that Kamara will suit up. However, he logged a season-low 51 percent snap share last Sunday while managing the same nagging ankle issue, so it remains to be seen if he'll have a full workload even if he does play.

Saints' Alvin Kamara: Questionable, but trending up
Kamara (ankle) is officially questionable for Sunday's game at the Rams, but Saints coach Kellen Moore said Friday that the running back is trending in the right direction, WWLAM's Jeff Nowak reports.
Moore said the same of WR Rashid Shaheed (hip) and CB Alontae Taylor (shoulder), with all three getting 'questionable' designations after limited practice participation this week. Any setbacks for Kamara would lead to more work for Devin Neal, who is alo listed with an ankle injury but seemingly on track to play.

Saints' Alvin Kamara: Limited again Thursday
Kamara (ankle) was limited in practice Thursday, Katherine Terrell of ESPN.com reports.
Kamara has played through the ankle issue the last two games, combining for 17 carries for 49 yards, five catches (on five targets) for 25 yards and no touchdowns. He avoided an injury designation in advance of both contests, so Friday's injury report may clear him for action yet again. Assuming he's available Sunday at the Rams, Kamara will be working with rookie QB Tyler Shough, who is taking over for Spencer Rattler moving forward.

Saints' Alvin Kamara: Stays limited in practice
Kamara (ankle) practiced in a limited fashion Wednesday.
The same can be said for the only other RB on the Saints' active roster, Devin Neal, who also is tending to an ankle injury. On a positive note, both players were able to log some on-field work Wednesday and have two more chances to get back to full before the team potentially tags them with designations ahead of Sunday's game at the Rams. Kamara managed 45 yards from scrimmage on a season-low eight touches this past Sunday against the Buccaneers, while Neal didn't earn a carry and hauled in all three targets for 11 yards.

Saints' Alvin Kamara: Held to 45 yards on eight touches
Kamara gained 21 yards on six carries and caught both of his targets for 24 yards in Sunday's 23-3 loss to Tampa Bay.
With Kendre Miller (knee) being placed on injured reserve this week, Kamara finished Sunday's contest as the only Saints RB to record a carry. However, that did not lead to a fruitful fantasy day after New Orleans abandoned the run early, passing 51 times compared to 15 rush attempts in the one-sided loss. Kamara's lack of involvement in the passing game has been concerning through eight weeks, as he is currently on pace to finish with a career-worst 306 receiving yards. Starting QB Spencer Rattler was benched in the second half of Sunday's loss, so a potential change under center could help unlock Kamara as a receiver against the Rams in Week 9.

Saints' Alvin Kamara: Good to go
Kamara (ankle) won't have an injury designation for Sunday's game against Tampa Bay, Matthew Paras of The New Orleans Times-Picayune reports.
Kamara played through the same injury the past two weeks, including taking on a season-high 84 percent share when Kendre Miller suffered an ACL tear in the loss at Chicago last Sunday. Devin Neal could get more work with time to prepare for the No. 2 role, but it's also possible Kamara is tasked with some of the snaps and touches that went to Miller in recent weeks.

Saints' Alvin Kamara: Still limited Thursday
Kamara (ankle) was a limited participant in Thursday's practice.
The Saints are managing Kamara's practice reps for the third week in a row while he tends to a lingering ankle issue, but the injury isn't expected to prevent him from playing Sunday versus the Buccaneers. After top backup Kendre Miller (knee) sustained a season-ending ACL tear in last week's loss to the Bears, Kamara ended up handling a season-high 84 percent snap share, though he was limited to 28 yards on 11 carries and one yard on three receptions. Rookie Devin Neal is expected to replace Miller in the No. 2 role this weekend and may not represent as formidable of competition as Miller, but Kamara's efficiency could be a regular concern all season due to subpar quarterback play as well as a below-average offensive line that recently lost standout center Erik McCoy to a season-ending biceps injury.

Saints' Alvin Kamara: Limited in practice
Kamara (ankle) was a limited practice participant Wednesday, Luke Johnson of The New Orleans Times-Picayune reports.
It's an improvement from last week when Kamara also was listed with an ankle injury and started off as a non-participant. He ended up being cleared to play on the Friday injury report and went on to handle a season-high 84 percent snap share when fellow running back Kendre Miller suffered an ACL tear in the first half. It is possible rookie Devin Neal will have more of a role this Sunday against Tampa Bay with more time to prepare for the No. 2 RB job.
