Saints' Alvin Kamara: Tops 70 scrimmage yards in loss
Kamara carried the ball 10 times for 31 yards and caught all five of his targets for 45 yards in Sunday's 25-19 loss to the Patriots.
After dealing with an ankle injury during the week in practice, Kamara didn't seem particularly bothered by the issue as he saw at least 15 touches for the fourth time in the last five games, and produced 70-plus scrimmage yards for the third time in that span. Kamara has 314 rushing yards and a 22-122-0 receiving line on 26 targets through six contests, but a Week 1 rushing TD has been his only trip to the end zone so far. He'll look to end his scoring drought in Week 7 against the Bears.

Saints' Alvin Kamara: Ready to go for Week 6
Kamara (ankle) is active for Sunday's game against the Patriots.
A limited participant in practice throughout the week due to the ankle injury, Kamara took a questionable tag into the weekend but never seemed at major risk of missing Sunday's contest. Now that he's confirmed as available for the Week 6 contest, Kamara should continue in his usual role as the Saints' lead option out of the backfield. Though Kamara's name has popped up in trade rumors as the 1-4 Saints navigate what looks to be a rebuilding season, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reported Saturday that the 30-year-old back told general manager Mickey Loomis that he would like to remain with the franchise for the duration of his career. The Saints are expected to honor Kamara's request and hold on to him ahead of the Nov. 4 trade deadline, even though multiple contending teams would likely be in the market for his services.

Saints' Alvin Kamara: In line to play Sunday
Kamara (ankle), who is listed as questionable for Sunday's game against the Patriots, is expected to play, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.
Kamara told Matthew Paras of The New Orleans Times-Picayune that he injured his ankle in last Sunday's win over the Giants, which left him limited in practice Wednesday through Friday. Ultimately, Kamara's status for Sunday's contest will be confirmed about 90 minutes before a 1 p.m. ET kickoff, but even if he's active, there's a chance he cedes some snaps to his primary backup, Kendre Miller.

Saints' Alvin Kamara: Listed as questionable
Kamara (ankle) is questionable for Sunday's game against New England, Ross Jackson of WWL Louisiana reports.
Early reports suggested Kamara hurt his ankle during Wednesday's practice, but he clarified Thursday that the injury initially occurred during a win over the Giants on Sunday. That may also explain why Kendre Miller took on so much of the rushing workload, especially late in the game. This week, Kamara was a limited practice participant Wednesday through Friday, with Mike Triplett of NewOrleans.Football suggesting that the veteran RB is on track to play. There is some risk that Kamara's workload looks more like Week 5 than Weeks 1-4, but he'll presumably still start if he's declared active ahead of the 1:00 p.m. ET kickoff.

Saints' Alvin Kamara: Remains limited in practice
Kamara (ankle) practiced in a limited fashion Thursday, Katherine Terrell of ESPN.com reports.
Initial reports indicated Kamara hurt his ankle at Wednesday's practice, but he clarified Thursday that he's "feeling good" and actually suffered the injury this past Sunday against the Giants, per Matthew Paras of The New Orleans Times-Picayune. In the Week 5 win, Kamara logged season lows in offensive snap share (56 percent) and touches (12) on his way to just 55 yards from scrimmage. Ultimately, Friday's practice report will unveil whether or not he enters the weekend with a designation for Sunday's game versus the Patriots.

The Saints had a scare at Wednesday's session when Kamara injured his ankle and went down as a limited participant. It's unclear if he maintained that activity level or upgraded to full, but Thursday's practice report will reveal that info. Coach Kellen Moore said Kamara hurt his ankle in practice Wednesday, Matthew Paras of The New Orleans Times-Picayune reports.
Per Nick Underhill of NewOrleans.Football, Kamara officially was limited Wednesday, and Moore added that it's a "little something." Kamara's status thus bears watching as the week goes on to get a sense of his odds to suit up Sunday against the Patriots. If Kamara is inhibited or sidelined this weekend, Kendre Miller would take on an expanded role in the Saints offense.

Saints' Alvin Kamara: Held in check in Week 5
Kamara carried the ball eight times for 27 yards and caught four of six targets for 28 yards in Sunday's 26-14 win over the Giants.
The 55 scrimmage yards were a season low for Kamara, and it's the third time in five games to begin the season that he's failed to reach 60. The veteran back is struggling to make an impact, as defenses haven't had much reason to fear the Saints' passing attack, but they could begin to loosen up for Kamara after QB Spencer Rattler hit Rashid Shaheed for an 87-yard TD in Sunday's win. Kamara will try to rebound in Week 6 against the Patriots.
