Anthony Walker: Working out for former team
Walker (knee) has a workout scheduled with the Colts on Thursday, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.
Walker was released with a non-football injury designation by the Buccaneers on Monday but is healthy enough a few days later to work out for Indianapolis, where he played from 2017 through 2020 prior to joining Cleveland for three years and Miami for one. Tampa Bay had expressed interest in adding Walker to its practice squad if he doesn't join a 53-man roster elsewhere.

Anthony Walker: Released by Tampa Bay
The Bucs released Walker (knee) with a non-football injury designation Monday, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.
Walker didn't practice at all during training camp, as he spent the entirety of the summer on the active/PUP list recovering from a knee injury. The Bucs didn't feel like Walker would be able to contribute in Week 1, Greg Auman of Fox Sports reports, but the team has interest in signing him to the practice squad if he doesn't land a job elsewhere.

Buccaneers' Anthony Walker: Nearing return to field
Buccaneers head coach Todd Bowles said Sunday that Walker (lower leg), who remains on the active/non-football injury list, is "close" to returning to practice, Brianna Dix of the team's official site reports.
Bowles specified that Walker is recovering from a lower leg injury sustained earlier this offseason. Once healthy, Walker is expected to compete for a starting role at inside linebacker.

Buccaneers' Anthony Walker: Sidelined with knee injury
Walker has not participated in training camp practices due to a knee injury, Greg Auman of Fox Sports reports.
Walker opened camp on the NFI list, and the injury is severe enough for him to be considered week-to-week. That puts him in jeopardy of missing the Bucs' preseason games, starting with their opener against the Titans on Aug. 9. SirVocea Dennis and Deion Jones will have the opportunity to compete for starting snaps at inside linebacker beside Lavonte David while Walker is recovering from his injury.

Buccaneers' Anthony Walker: Listed as week-to-week
Head coach Todd Bowles listed Walker (undisclosed) as "week-to-week" ahead of Tampa Bay's first day of training camp, Scott Smith of the Buccaneers' official site reports.
Walker was placed on the active/non-football injury list Tuesday ahead of training camp with an undisclosed injury. The 29-year-old spent last season with Miami, where he recorded 68 tackles before signing with Tampa Bay in March. The Buccaneers are missing one starting inside linebacker after K.J. Britt left in free agency, and Walker is expected to be in line for the job with Deion Jones and SirVocea Dennis also competing for an opportunity.

Buccaneers' Anthony Walker: Placed on NFI list
The Bucs placed Walker (undisclosed) on the active/non-football injury list Tuesday.
Walker dealt with a knee injury at the end of the 2024 season, but it's possible he's nursing some other type of injury to begin camp. After tallying 68 tackles (34 solo), including 1.0 sacks, and two pass breakups, including one interception, across 14 regular-season contests with the Dolphins last year, Walker signed a one-year deal with Tampa Bay back in March. He's expected to be a key contributor in the Bucs' linebacker group in 2025.

Buccaneers' Anthony Walker: Heads to Tampa Bay
Walker (knee) signed a one-year contract with the Buccaneers on Thursday, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.
Walker and fellow interior linebacker K.J. Britt effectively swapped places between Tampa Bay and Miami, both signing one-year contracts with the other's former team Thursday. Across 14 regular-season appearances (eight starts) with the Dolphins in 2024, Walker compiled 68 tackles (34 solo), including 1.0 sacks and two passes defensed (including one interception). He missed the team's final three games due to a knee injury but figures to be ready for the start of offseason activities with his new squad.

Dolphins' Anthony Walker: Tallies 68 stops in 2024
Walker (knee) racked up 68 tackles (34 solo), including 1.0 sacks and two passes defensed (including one interception) across 14 regular-season appearances with the Dolphins in 2024.
Walker valued into a starting role on defense Week 9, coinciding with the Dolphins' decision to move on from David Long, and gained brief fantasy value in deeper IDP formats as a result of his every-down gig. He missed Miami's final two regular-season contests due to a knee injury, however. The 29-year-old veteran is set to become an unrestricted free agent this offseason.

Walker (knee) has been ruled out for Sunday's game against the Jets, David Furones of the South Florida Sun Sentinel reports.

Dolphins' Anthony Walker: Still not practicing
Walker (knee) did not practice Wednesday, David Furones of the South Florida Sun Sentinel reports.
Walker didn't practice at all last week and ended up missing Sunday's victory over Cleveland. He'll likely need to return to practice in some capacity before the end of Friday in order to have a chance of suiting up in this Sunday's matchup versus the Jets. With Walker out of action last weekend, Tyrel Dodson got the start at inside linebacker and put up a huge performance, racking up 15 tackles and an interception en route to winning the AFC Defensive Player of the Week award.

Dolphins' Anthony Walker: Out for Week 17
Walker (knee) has been ruled out for Sunday's game against the Browns, David Furones of the South Florida Sun Sentinel reports.
Walker played 97 percent of the defensive snaps last week against the 49ers, so it's unclear when he was injured, but Walker is going to miss Week 17. Tyrel Dodson and Jordyn Brooks (quadriceps) started at linebacker against the Packers in Week 13 when Walker was last inactive due to injury.

Walker racked up seven tackles (four solo) including 1.0 sacks during Miami's 20-12 loss to Houston in Week 15.
Walker played 98 percent of defensive snaps versus the Texans, continuing to handle the very-down role he inherited Week 9. Aside from Week 12, when he was forced off the field early with a hamstring injury, Walker has notched at least seven tackles in each of his opportunities as a starter this year. He figures to be heavily involved again on Sunday, versus a 49ers backfield led by Isaac Guerendo.

Walker (hamstring) isn't listed on Miami's injury report Wednesday, Marcel Louis-Jacques of ESPN.com reports.
Walker hurt his hamstring in the third quarter of Sunday's win over the Jets, but he appears to be clear of the injury. That's good news for the Dolphins, as he ranks third on the team with 55 tackles on the campaign. Walker has recorded at least seven stops in four of his past five games.
