Saints' P.J. Williams: Will play Week 16
Williams (knee) has been ruled active ahead of Saturday's game against Cleveland.
Williams will suit up on game day for the first time since going down with a knee injury against Tampa Bay in Week 12. The versatile defensive back has played multiple spots in the Saints' banged-up secondary this season. With top cornerback Marshon Lattimore (abdomen) and starting strong safety Marcus Maye (knee) both inactive versus the Browns, Williams should be in line for a very prominent workload Week 16.

Williams (knee) has been ruled out for Sunday's matchup against the Falcons, Nick Underhill of NewOrleans.Football reports.
Williams failed to make substanial progress during the team's Week 14 bye and will remain sidelined for a second straight game due to a knee injury he suffered on the first defensive snap of Week 12. In his absence, Bradley Roby and Alontae Taylor are candidates for increased snaps in the slot, though Taylor may have to operate as a starter again if Marshon Lattimore (abdomen) remains out.

Saints' P.J. Williams: Won't play Monday night
Williams (knee) is listed as out for Monday's game at Tampa Bay, Katherine Terrell of ESPN.com reports.
Williams was forced out of New Orleans' loss at San Francisco in Week 12 early with a knee injury, and he'll now have to miss at least one game as he recovers. The Saints will probably need to lean more heavily on starters Tyrann Mathieu and Marcus Maye at safety in Williams' absence.

Williams recorded 11 tackles (two solo) during Sunday's 20-10 loss to the Steelers.
Williams notched a team high in tackles while starting in place of injured strong safety Marcus Maye (abdomen). The 29-year-old also lined up on 100 percent of New Orleans' defensive snaps for the second time this season, and he now has 22 tackles (15 solo) and two passes defended over six games. Williams has played multiple positions over seven seasons in the Saints' secondary, so this versatility should continue to net him consistent playing time moving forward.

Saints' P.J. Williams: Expected to start Sunday
Williams is expected to start Sunday's matchup against Pittsburgh in the absence of Marcus Maye (abdomen), Luke Johnson of The New Orleans Times-Picayune reports.
Williams played just nine defensive snaps during Week 9, which was his first action since Week 4, but the veteran cornerback will be thrust into an expanded role with Maye out. In his only other start this season (Week 3), Williams recorded six tackles and two pass defenses while playing every defensive snap for New Orleans.
