Larry Warford: Opting out of 2020 season
Warford announced Tuesday that he is opting out of the 2020 campaign, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.
Warford intends to revisit playing in 2021, which would be his age-30 season. Schefter also notes that Warford, a current free agent, received numerous offers before deciding to opt out.

Warford's release saves the Saints nearly $8 million and clears the path for rookie first-round pick Cesar Ruiz to handle the right guard duties immediately. The veteran will likely find a number of teams vying for his services in 2020.

Warford (knee) has been cleared to play in the Saints' regular-season finale against the Panthers on Sunday, Amie Just of The New Orleans Times-Picayune reports.
Warford is set to return from a one-game absence due to a knee injury. Barring any setbacks, look for him to resume his usual role as the team's starting right guard.

Warford (knee) does not carry an injury designation for Sunday's divisional-round playoff game against the Eagles, Nick Underhill of The New Orleans Advocate reports.
Warford was a full participant in Friday's practice after having been limited Wednesday and Thursday. The starting guard appears to have benefited from a full two weeks of rest, and he'll work to protect quarterback Drew Brees versus the Eagles' stout defensive front.

Warford exited Sunday's game against the Eagles and is being evaluated for a concussion, Josh Katzenstein of The New Orleans Times-Picayune reports.
Warford exited Sunday's tilt against Philadelphia during the fourth quarter. The Week 11 game was already well out of hand in New Orleans' favor at the time of Warford's departure, so the Saints could elect to take a cautious approach to the starting guard's health even if he is cleared of concussion symptoms.
