DE Osi Umenyiora had proposed to buy Lawrence Taylor’s Super Bowl XXV ring, which was being auctioned online by Taylor’s son, and return it to the two-time champion if Umenyiora had a million Twitter followers by 10 p.m. Saturday. Umenyiora then lowered it to 500,000 followers, but he still fell short, so it doesn’t look like Taylor will be reunited with his ring.
