The Saints placed rookie safety Kenny Vaccaro on injured reserve with a broken ankle and signed defensive back Terrence Frederick from the Browns' practice squad. Vaccaro had 92 tackles, six pass breakups, an interception, a sack and two forced fumbles.
Frederick played in two games with the Giants last year.
