The Raiders placed safety Nate Allen (knee) on the injured reserve-designated to return list Tuesday.
It was thought that Allen may have suffered a torn ACL in Sunday's loss to the Raiders, but it appears his setback is not as severe as thought, and he will have a chance to return to action later this season.
