Panthers backup tight end Mike McNeill suffered a right knee sprain during Friday's preseason opener against the Bills, according to head coach Ron Rivera, via the team's official website. McNeil sustained the injury in the fourth quarter and was unable to return.
The Panthers will host the Chiefs on Aug. 17.
