Falcons running back Jacquizz Rodgers entered Week 5 with two career rushing touchdowns. He matched that total in the loss to the Jets, scoring on second-half runs of 4 and 19 yards.
Rodgers was frustrated by the Jets in the first half. On the final play before halftime, he got stuffed from the 1-yard line as Atlanta bypassed a sure field goal. The play came back to haunt the Falcons in the 30-28 loss.
Rodgers finished with 43 yards on 14 carries. He caught all four of his targets for 15 yards. With Steven Jackson expected to return Week 7 against the Buccaneers -- Atlanta is off next week -- Rodgers' role could diminish.
