Giants defensive back Trumaine McBride will need surgery to repair his right thumb, head coach Tom Coughlin told the media on Monday, per the Record. McBride sustained the injury late in a Week 6 loss to the Eagles on Sunday. The team will likely establish a timetable for his return soon after the procedure.
McBride posted two force fumbles, and interception and 21 combined tackles before the injury.
